While Palvin feels more at ease about the wedding than the engagement, Sprouse admits to being nervous about the choreographed first dance.

Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin recently shared the news of their engagement nearly a year after the "Riverdale" actor got down on one knee. The couple, dating since 2018, decided to share the joyful news on Instagram, leaving fans in shock.

Strikingly, they unveiled their engagement bliss through stunning photos, posing as a radiant bride and a dashing groom for V magazine's gorgeous Fall 2023 cover shoot.

During an interview conducted by none other than his twin brother, Cole, Dylan shared the details of his proposal, which took place back in September. "We didn't necessarily feel the need to be fully transparent with the public about that aspect of our engagement," he explained.

The celebrity couple managed to maintain secrecy regarding the specifics of their wedding plans. However, per Page Six, they disclosed their intention to exchange vows in Hungary, the Victoria's Secret model's home country. It was also revealed that Cole would be bestowed with the honorable role of the best man.

Despite the impending nuptials, Palvin said she had no nerves surrounding the forthcoming ceremony. Reflecting on her journey, she confessed, "I think the engagement stressed me more than the wedding. I mean, a man has time to prepare for the proposal—Dylan kept the ring for seven months before he asked the question—but for me, it was right then and there." The model added, "I knew since we started dating that I want to marry him, but it's a big decision."

In contrast, the groom-to-be couldn't help but fret over a particular aspect of the wedding preparations—the first dance. Stricken with nerves, he admitted his lack of confidence in executing a well-choreographed routine. "I'm not a good dancer," he confessed, voicing his apprehension about the anticipated performance.

Their love story unfolded in 2018 when Dylan decided to slide into the model's DMs. However, Palvin confessed that she initially chose to "ghost" him, leaving their connection unanswered for six months.

When the time was finally right for Palvin to reengage, she reached out to the "Suite Life of Zack & Cody" actor only to discover that he was about to embark on a six-month journey to China for a movie project.

Recognizing the unfortunate timing, Dylan playfully remarked to his future fiancée, "Look, you picked the worst possible time."

But amid the unforeseen circumstances, Palvin couldn't help but feel it was fated. She had planned to be in China for a campaign around the same period, which seemed like a remarkable coincidence. However, her excitement was short-lived, as she later learned that her trip had been canceled.

The charismatic "Big Daddy" actor proposed a spontaneous solution in a heartfelt gesture. He suggested, per Page Six, "Why don't we jump out on a romantic limb and just do what we were planning to do anyway? I'll fly you out, and we can hang out in Beijing." Palvin swiftly responded with enthusiasm and independence, stating, "I would love that, but I'll buy my ticket."

Palvin also shared an endearing anecdote about their passion for the anime series "Naruto," revealing a pivotal moment when she fell deeper in love with Sprouse.

According to Page Six, she recounted that it happened during a playful moment when her beau decided to impersonate their favorite character, Akamaru, a dog in the anime. Mimicking the nature, Dylan leaped into the air, executing a graceful turn, and landed on their bed. "It's my favorite video," Palvin said of the cherished memory.

Speculation surrounding their engagement began circulating in March, sparked by sightings of the model proudly "showing off her ring" at the Mammoth Film Festival.

Although the couple never officially confirmed the rumors, Palvin openly expressed her frustration at being unable to share the news on her terms. "That annoyed me because I knew we were building this story up," she admitted. "So, I'm thrilled we ended up doing it our way."
