Kylie Jenner's cosmetics company has landed in legal hot water!

Although the company has had its fair share of drama on social media, this latest round would reportedly cost it a hefty chunk of money after a model sued it for late payments.

The model claimed that the business did not promptly compensate her after she did some shoots with their products some years ago. A rep for the company has since offered to supply the necessary documents to prove that they paid the plaintiff on time.

A model, Sasha Palma, has filed a $120,000 lawsuit against Kylie Cosmetics, claiming the business delayed her payment for two photoshoots she did for them in 2020 by more than a month.

Palma alleged in the legal documents reviewed by TMZ that she was supposed to get a $2,000 paycheck for the first job by early July since it only took a day, and the final images were publicized in June.

As for the second photoshoot, she argued that it was done in August 2020 and came with a $2,000 per day charge. However, Kylie's Cosmetics did not send her the paycheck until more than 30 days after she finished the shoot.

She said that Jenner's business refused to pay her on time even though they could do so, and for that, they now owe her damages totaling $60,000 each for the two cases where they missed the 30-day deadline.

In response, a representative for Jenner's brand revealed that Palma got her paycheck before the NET 45 days, according to her invoice for both shoots—the rep further claims documentation proving that Kylie Cosmetics had paid Palma as of when due.

Additionally, an insider explained that it was possible that the plaintiff's agent had held the payment in escrow, and the reality star could not be blamed for that. The insider further asserted that the model had later asked the cosmetics outfit for a letter of recommendation, which she did not get, and her team also allegedly tried getting more work for her with the brand long after the photo shoots.

Several Store Burglars Previously Stole The Company's Products

The cosmetics company faced a heartbreaking loss when criminals targeted its products in one of its carrier stores. Per a November 2019 report from The Blast, several men walked into an Ulta store in Oxnard, Southern California, and filled trash bags from the pop-up display carrying Jenner's products.

Per CCTV footage shared with media outlets, the burglars looked confident, paying no mind to the blaring alarm and store patrons watching in shock as they carried out their task. Posting the clip to social media, one media outlet wrote:

"Retail crooks casually stroll into a SoCal Ulta store and help themselves to bags full of Kylie cosmetics. And the employees are powerless to stop them."

It was not the first time this sort of incident had happened in the area, as another Ulta store in nearby Thousand Oaks was hit just a few days before. However, unlike the Oxnard store, police arrested three men caught with $2,500 worth of merchandise from the Thousand Oaks store for the crime.

We assume the loss did not dent Jenner's fortune since she previously scored a mouth-watering deal after selling part of the cosmetics brand for 600 million dollars. It was shared in 2019 that the mother-of-two sold 51% of Kylie Cosmetics to Coty, Inc, a multinational beauty company that owns brands like Adidas, Guess, and Calvin Klein. A statement addressing the transaction, which was shared with the press at the time, read:

"Coty Inc. (NYSE:COTY) and Kylie Jenner announced today that they have entered into a long-term strategic partnership in order to jointly build and further develop Kylie's existing beauty business into a global powerhouse brand. Together, Coty and Kylie will set and lead the strategic direction of the partnership, focusing on global expansion and entry into new beauty categories. Kylie and her team will continue to lead all creative efforts in terms of product and communications initiatives, building on her unrivaled global reach capabilities through social media."
