Kevin Costner's divorce drama has gotten more explosive!

Despite spending many years together as man and wife, Costner and Christine Baumgartner's divorce has brought out another side of them. The once-happy duo has been at each other's throats for nearly two months, and their ongoing drama has resulted in the Hollywood star accusing his estranged wife of violating the terms of their prenuptial agreement, which they signed in 2004.

Kevin Costner Is Now 'Homeless' Amid Christine Baumgartner's Refusal To Leave Their Former Home

Ever since Baumgartner filed for divorce on May 1, things have rapidly gone downhill for her and Costner. Not only did the German artist file a restraining order against her estranged husband, but he has come out to accuse her of racking up his credit card debts.

According to new court papers obtained by Page Six, the 68-year-old film director alleged that his estranged partner spent $95,000 of his money on a forensic accountant and lawyers "without prior notice" to him.

Aside from using his money to fund their divorce without his consent, Baumgartner has refused to move out of the $145 million house they once shared as a married couple in Carpinteria, California.

Not only has her refusal rendered Costner homeless, but it has also violated the terms of their 2004 prenup, which states that she has a 30-day window to leave his properties if they break up and that a $1.2 million fund would be given to her to find a new home.

Additionally, the former model wants the details of their prenup to be published for the world to see, a move that the "Bodyguard" actor believes might put him at risk of "irreparable harm" from fraudsters or burglars. He further argues that it might attract "unwanted and embarrassing global media attention."

Speaking on the impossible situation through his legal counsel Laura Wasser, Costner shared that the 49-year-old has declined "multiple requests" asking her to leave the estate "despite Kevin's offers to assist her financially in relocating to a new residence."

Meanwhile, Baumgartner has since disclosed that she has no plans of moving out of "Kevin's separate property residence unless and until Kevin agrees to various financial demands," even though she supposedly has enough money to relocate.

As The Blast reported last month, the "Field of Dreams" actor detailed that he has been supporting the mother of three of his seven kids since she filed the divorce papers.

The 68-year-old also informed the courts, through his lawyer, that he has made a "comprehensive temporary child support and fee proposal, he has agreed to and has maintained the financial status quo since the Petition was filed, continuing to pay all of the parties' children's expenses, and he is negotiating a summer visitation schedule for the parties' three teenage children."

Wasser backed up the multihyphenate, stating, "Kevin has acted in good faith and has done everything in his power to make the transition as seamless as possible. But Christine continues to refuse to vacate his separate property residence, as she agreed she would do in 2004 as a condition of marriage."

The California Native's Work Schedule Perceived As Cause For Marriage Breakdown

Amid the chaos, a source divulged that the collapse of Costner and Baumgartner's union was partly due to the former's busy work schedule. In the words of the insider, as cited by The Blast:

"Christine wants them to spend family time at their Santa Barbara home. During filming, Kevin is not around very much. His absence has been very hard for her."

The Academy Awards winner's time away from his family she resulted in Baumgartner feeling "unhappy" because she did not want her soon-to-be former husband "to throw himself into another project," which was his usual style.

Unfortunately, things were taken out of her hands when the beloved screen god landed a role on "Horizon," where he has been spending a chunk of his time since filming began last year. Addressing the issue, another insider explained:

"Kevin hasn't been home very much for quite some time due to filming, the popularity of 'Yellowstone,' and the time necessary for his other projects. He has been in demand."

Despite the supposed homefront mismanagement, people close to the "3 Days to Kill" actor has since asserted that Baumgartner's decision to file for divorce surprised him. This would be Costner's second marriage ending in divorce; he was previously married to his college sweetheart, Cindy Silva, for 16 years.
