Now more than ever, several Dionne Warwick's fans are praying for her as she deals with a medical issue affecting her forthcoming show. 

The news of Warwick's health condition was met with concerned fans, who amassed in numbers, sending prayers and well wishes to her.

Fans Send Love To Dionne Warwick As She Cancels Her Show Due To Medical Reasons

On Thursday, June 15, fans who anticipated the famed musician's concert set for June 24 at Rivers Casino Des Plaines near Chicago were informed she was dealing with medical issues. Hence, the show was canceled.

Per reports, ticket holders received an email from the venue where the show was supposed to hold, notifying them of the cancellation. The notice read, "We regret to inform you that the Dionne Warwick performance on June 24, 2023, at Rivers Casino Des Plaines has been canceled due to a medical incident."

After that, a representative of the Grammy winner spoke to PEOPLE Magazine about the singer's condition. According to the rep, the singer pulled the plug on the show due to a challenge with one of her legs, which started on Thursday. 

The spokesperson explained, "It's a minor issue that has been fixed, and she is fine." TMZ also shared that the singer is already recovering. However, she must "take some time on her own to return to 100%."

Meanwhile, the venue offered refunds to anyone who purchased tickets, though there's news that the "That's What Friends Are For" performer hopes to reschedule the concert for another date. Warwick also has concerts scheduled on different dates throughout the year.

The scheduled dates and location are "June 23 in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. August 9 in Selbyville, Delaware; August 11 in Gethsemane, Kentucky; September 1 in Ojai, California; and September 2 in Beverly Hills, California. However, at this time, it is unknown whether the shows will happen as planned.

Although fans would have loved to see Warwick's outstanding live rendition, they were nonetheless empathetic about her health. Ardent fans spared no time in rallying around her at this rough time, proving that they would stick with her through it all.

Some took to Twitter, dropping their well wishes for the singer. "Wishing ?ueen @dionnewarwick speedy recovery. ???," one Warwick admirer wrote. Another fan tweeted, "Sending prayers." Sharing a similar good wish, a third admirer tweeted, "Hope you're feeling better soon!⁦ @dionnewarwick," a fourth follower quipped, "Sending love and healing vibes to @dionnewarwick."

Another good wisher advised the singer to "rest and take care." One concerned individual highlighted that other shows the celebrated musician canceled before saying a prayer for her. According to the individual, "She also canceled two concerts last week, one scheduled at Morongo Casino on 6/9. Sending healing vibes to Ms. Dionne."

The' I Say A Little Prayer' Singer Joked About Taking Over As The New CEO Of Twitter 

The sad news of Warwick pulling the plug on her show comes almost a month after she jokingly announced a big career move. The "Heartbreaker" singer playfully told her followers of her intentions to be the CEO of X/Twitter, when the present CEO, Elon Musk, stated his intentions to hire a female CEO.

Musk tweeted his intentions, writing, "Excited to announce that I have a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~ six weeks! I will transition to exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops."

As the philanthropist did not state who he planned on hiring, it left several netizens creating inside jokes about the hiring. Warwick, known for her enormous sense of humor on the App, teased that she was the new employee Musk tweeted about.

The 82-year-old teased, "I am excited to take on the role as CEO of Twitter officially," wrote Warwick. "This has been in the works for months." Unsurprisingly, many of her 632.8K followers responded to it.

One follower wrote, "Ha! I wish you weren't joking, Dionne. You'd be a huge improvement over the current leadership! Another Twitter user penned, "I love it! And will you be considering the U.S. Presidential race because you get my vote for both? ?.” A third individual, referencing one of her known songs, remarked, "I'll say a little prayer for you ??."
