Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Spotify contract has been discontinued!

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made headlines since ditching their status as working royals and moving to the US. Their relocation earned them a deal with the audio streaming platform in 2020.

After completing one season of their popular podcast, "Archetypes," the couple's partnership with the media services provider has ended.

As the Wall Street Journal shared, the Sussexes recently announced they had parted ways with the audio streaming platform. The revelation came via a joint statement from the couple's production company, Archewell Audio, and Spotify.

In their message, the former partners claimed their contract had ended on good terms; however, they did not share the reason behind their separation. "Spotify and Archewell Audio have mutually agreed to part ways and are proud of the series we made together," their joint statement explained.

A spokesperson from WME, the talent agency representing the Duchess, echoed similar sentiments about the trio's parting. "The team behind Archetypes remains proud of the podcast they created at Spotify. Meghan is continuing to develop more content for the Archetypes audience on another platform," the insider revealed.

During the final episode of the "Archetypes" podcast in November 2022, the former Hollywood actress might have predicted the end of her collaboration with the media services provider. The "Deal or No Deal" alum said:

"We're working on other ways to keep the conversation going, but just know that as we close out this season of Archetypes, that I thank you. Thank you for listening and learning with me."

According to Markle, the journey had been "liberating," "healing," and "fun." She also parted ways with her listeners by sharing a powerful quote about overcoming the "labels and tropes, boxes" that others might try to force on people.

"It's from a couplet within a piece of writing by Greek poet Christianopoulos," the former actress continued about the quote. "And he says, 'What didn't you do to bury me / but you forgot, that I was a seed.'" The mother of two concluded her segment with more motivational content, advising her followers to focus on "growing" and promising to see them on the "flip side."

The end of the Duchess's podcast on Spotify came months after the 41-year-old inked a new deal. The "Suits" star signed with a talent agency famous for representing some of Hollywood's biggest influencers. The powerhouse company, WME, served stars like Ari Emanuel, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Serena Williams.

Following their collaboration with the Los Angeles native, the organization proudly announced the news on social media. Their statement depicted their joy in bagging the royal member as their client.

"We are honored to announce that WME now represents Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in all areas," the post read. "The agency will focus on building out her business ventures across multiple facets of the agency and its broader ecosystem, including film and television production, brand partnerships, and more."

Underneath the update, fans happily cheered for the duo's partnership, with many noting that Markle deserved the best life after leaving the British monarchy. One sweet commenter chimed: "Yes!!!!! Good for her! My girl is about to thrive and live her best life. I love this so much for her!"

The Duke And Duchess Of Sussex Were Allegedly Working On A New Netflix Documentary

Weeks before the Archewell Production founders announced the end of their deal with Spotify, the couple made headlines for reportedly working on a new documentary. The upcoming project would mark the couple's continued collaboration with Netflix.

The Sussexes previously made waves on the streaming platform for their hit six-part docuseries, "Harry & Meghan" and "Live to Lead" series in 2022. Therefore their new program would mark the duo's third show with the entertainment company.

According to sources, the documentary shall follow the media personalities' humanitarian pursuits in South Africa. The lovebirds shall help in building homes for various communities in the country. The project went alongside Markle's endeavor to raise awareness about safe birthing practices.

Sharing details about the upcoming show, an insider revealed: "Meghan is particularly keen to share information about giving birth safely with the women she meets. The cameras will follow [The Sussexes] as they visit compounds and share medical education."
