Kelly Ripa has shared her thoughts on the idea of renewing her vows — a sentiment her longtime husband, Mark Consuelos shares.

The couple, who have been married for more than two decades, disclosed that they have no intention of renewing their vows because it would translate to them filing for a divorce soon after. The disclosure came during the latest episode of "Live!" which Ryan Seacrest walked away from after six seasons of co-hosting with Ripa.

Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos Are Not Interested In Wedding Each Other Again

"Live! with Kelly and Ryan" officially changed to "Live! with Kelly and Mark" when Consuelos permanently took over as the new co-host of the syndicated morning talk show almost two months ago. And as sad as viewers were to see Ryan Seacrest go, they can admit that Ripa and her man have their pecks.

One such peck would be the lovebirds sharing some insights from their longstanding union, and for Thursday's episode, they got extra candid about their take on vow renewals. The conversation started after the mother-of-three lauded one of the show's producers, David, as their "very own Martha Stewart" and asked if he would be willing to bake a cake if she and Consuelos wanted to redo their vows.

However, when David agreed, and the executive producer Michael Gelman asked if the couple would follow through, the 52-year-old blonde quickly expressed, "Noooo. Well, we can call it [the cake] the kiss of death cake. It'll come with divorce papers because we are very superstitious about vow renewals."

She explained further that she considered vow renewals "pre-divorce," adding, "It's like, 'We're not getting along... I know what we should do!'" Her husband promptly agreed with her sentiment, claiming that the decision to remarry a spouse usually comes after the husband "messed up" in the marriage.

"And I'm not talking about 'leave the toilet seat up' messed up. I'm talking about messed up!" the 52-year-old actor energetically stated.

Consuelos and Ripa's love story has been going on since February 1995, when they met on the set of "All My Children." From playing on-screen lovebirds — Hayley and Mateo, their love blossomed off-screen, and they eloped in Las Vegas on May 1, 1996.

By June 1997, they had become first-time parents, welcoming their son, Michael Joseph Consuelos. Later in June 2001, they welcomed their second child and first daughter, Lola Consuelos, whose name was inspired by Barry Manilow's song, "Copacabana."

As it turned out, the 1985 track was playing in the taxi Ripa, and her husband took to the hospital. At the point that they heard Manilow sing, "Her name was Lola," they decided that "Lola" would be their baby girl's name.

They became third-time parents with the arrival of their second son, Joaquin Antonio Consuelos, in February 2003. Two years later, the couple became business partners, founding a production company named Milojo in honor of their kids.

Unlike others whose relationships collapsed after getting into business together, Ripa and Consuelos have continued to grow in their love for each other, with the latter gushing, as cited by InStyle:

"It's funny; we were talking about it last night with our kids. You know, we've been working together since '94, so almost 21 years in close capacity, and I think at the end of the day, we really, really get each other."

Viewers Lashed Out At The Power Couple For 'Too Much PDA'

The Blast reported that the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival winner and her husband came under fire after they packed on the PDA on "Live!" in April.

Taking to Twitter to complain, one person asked why Consuelos kept touching his wife during the show's second episode, claiming that he did so "more times in TEN minutes than Ryan did in a week!"

Another critic tweeted that the "Riverdale" actor was not acting like his authentic self, writing, "Like both of you guys. Together on the show seems a bit awkward though. It's like Kelly has Mark henpecked, and he can't really express himself. And Mark is too mushy with Kelly."

"LESS married couple of 27 yrs – MORE morning talk show colleagues/cohosts. Please just stick to the hot topics and pop culture," a third displeased viewer lamented.

Despite the backlash, Consuelos has repeatedly expressed gratitude he was chosen to replace Seacrest on the morning show, once effusing: This show today truly felt like home. I always feel at home with Kelly, but [working] together this morning just felt so right."
