Seth Rogen shared the first photos behind the scenes of the upcoming live-action “Lion King” remake, and the “Hakuna Matata” vibes are undeniable.
Rogen, who’s playing Pumbaa, snapped a pic with Billy Eichner (Timon) and Donald Glover (Simba), along with director Jon Favreau.
Seth Captioned the pic with the appropriate emojis: “??.” It’s the first indication we’ve gotten that the production is officially underway after the cast was announced earlier this year.
Along with Rogen, Glover and Eichner; Beyoncé, James Earl Jones and John Oliver will also be appearing in the highly-anticipated flick. As we reported, Disney is expecting to make a killing off the revamped take on the “Lion King” and even locked down JD McCrary, who is voicing young Simba, for a longtime record contract potentially worth millions.
The movie is due out in 2019.
