Throughout the slideshow, fans could see how much the pet meant to the "Neighbors" star and his beautiful wife, Lauren Miller. The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel breed featured a gorgeous Blenheim particolored coat, and radiant round eyes glittered with love in each picture.

Zelda enjoyed trips to the beach, posing with the couple, playing fetch with Rogen, and snuggling with the actor's wife in the snaps. There was also a video of the pet wagging her tail excitedly as she watched the Canadian entertainer prepare a turkey.

The photo dump received over 300,000 likes and was captioned with a lengthy message about the canine's life. "We said goodbye to our perfect girl Zelda on Thursday, May 4. She was almost 14 years old," the grief-stricken filmmaker revealed.

"She was truly the most amazing, magical creature. She taught us about love, resilience, strength, and kindness. We loved her more than words can describe. Everyone who met her saw what a unique little puppy she was," the American Comedy Award recipient continued.

Highlighting the pup's unique traits, the 41-year-old stated that Zelda could stare into a person's soul with her "gigantic buggy eyes." She also made people feel special because her judgemental nature meant only worthy individuals could receive her love.

Opening up about his decision to skip the child-making phase, the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Award nominee claimed he had no regrets because it boosted his career. "That has helped me succeed as well. There's a huge thing I'm not doing, which is raising children," the entertainer explained.

According to the "Long Shot" actor, he and his wife seriously discussed the subject of children before deciding it was not something they wanted to do. In the comedian's words:

"Some people want kids; some people don’t want kids. Honestly, you just are told, ‘You go through life, you get married, you have kids.’ That’s what happens. And me and my wife, neither of us were like that."
