Machine Gun Kelly is not scared of a bit of ink!

The multitalented singer — whose real name is Colson Baker — is completely covered in tattoos, including some large-scale drawings that we assume took tons of patience, time, and pain to finish. Despite that, he has added new ink to the collection, and this time, he offered some details about its inspiration to his teeming fanbase.

Machine Gun Kelly's Reason For Getting A New Tattoo Endeared Him To His Fans More

Known for his genre duality across alternative rock with hip hop and multiple body tattoos, MGK has earned quite a reputation in the music industry. However, he proved that there is a deeper side to him through a new tattoo adorning his leg, inspired by Nigihayami Kohakunushi, otherwise referred to as Haku.

The character won over millions of hearts as the deuteragonist in the 2001 fantasy anime, "Spirited Away," where he occasionally transformed from human to his dragon form. MGK opted to draw Haku's dragon form, which usually features a teal and mint green mane, with a white, scaled body and claw-like legs, and promptly showed it to his 1.5 million Twitter followers.

While he placed an image of the tattoo on the left, he added a screenshot that detailed how Haku effectively altered between being "kind-hearted and supportive" and "strict and high-strung" on the right. The "Bad Things" hitmaker also highlighted how he related with the character through his caption, writing:

"i tattoo'd Haku on my leg last night for two reasons: he's a river spirit so his elemental powers are mostly water (like my emotions because they are in Pisces) and i relate to him whenever i watch spirited away, i attached his description and it mirrors how i feel in this world."

In his follow-up tweet, the "my ex's best friend" singer admitted that even though his third reason for getting the illustration was "probably the most important," he was saving it for "a podcast or something."

Fans of the rapper quickly trooped into the replies to share their reactions, with this one gushing, "your brain is so beautiful, i love your meaningful tattoos and your reasonings for them. i can only dream to be as deep and thoughtful as you."

"that such a nice meaning and it looks so good❤️‍?," a second fan tweeted, as a third typed, "I really like it. You got it for something that means something to you. That's by far the best reason to get it."

Since MGK's drawing did not feature the colorful bits of Haku's body, one curious fan asked if he was "keeping it line work or adding in color." A fifth added, "one of my favourite films tattooed on one of my favourite people ??."

Before getting the new tattoo, the "Bird Box" star had suffered a near-death experience during a pre-Super Bowl performance in February. As reported by The Blast, the father-of-one was belting out the tunes of his 2019 single, "El Diablo," when he got electrocuted on stage.

The incident led to the rapper's long hair standing up, and he could not move as he was temporarily paralyzed. Even though it was life-threatening, MGK appeared unfazed and performed for over two hours afterward.

In fact, when he shared the news online, he wrote, "YOOO I GOT ELECTROCUTED AND MY HAIR STOOD UP," along with a string of laughing and lightning emojis. The 32-year-old also tweeted, "Getting electrocuted during a performance was a first for me…but the hair's cool."

The Billboard Music Award Winner's Love Life Was Reported To Seemingly Been Reborn

The Blast reported last month that MGK and his on-again-off-again love, Meghan Fox, were on again just weeks after their previous breakup. Rumors of them splitting started after the 37-year-old actress uploaded mirror selfies of herself and cryptically wrote:

"You can taste the dishonesty / It’s all over your breath," a lyric from Beyoncé's  "Pray You Catch Me."

Later, she removed all traces of the rapper from her Instagram account, including images of them together, confirming to onlookers that they were done for good. Thus, it was a shock when the lovebirds resurfaced after months of quiet, smiling, and holding hands while strolling on a beach during a Hawaiian baecation in April.

Fox also supported her man as he thrilled the crowd at the Waldbühne in Berlin earlier this month. She stunned in an all-black ensemble featuring a tiny strap bodysuit with a plunging neckline, sheer lacy tights, and an oversized black leather jacket.

The "Holiday in the Sun" actress and MGK's relationship started with the unusual act of them drinking each other's blood. They subsequently made their romance Instagram official in July 2020 and got engaged in January after nearly two years together.
