The actress, who became a mother in February after welcoming her son Leodis, revealed her disappointment and stated that the experience "ruined [her] mood."
Breast milk discrimination at the Houston airport ruined my mood. I should’ve popped my tit out right then because the discretion and comfort of pumping is thwarted with threats to throw out over 16oz my babies food?!?!!! Why is that not a crime??

Palmer, 29, expressed her frustration by tweeting, "I should've popped my tit out right then because the discretion and comfort of pumping is thwarted with threats to throw out over 16oz [of] my babies [sic] food?!?!! She added, "Why is that not a crime?? I'M A MOTHER for crying out loud."
According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), breast milk "in quantities exceeding 3.4 ounces or 100 milliliters is permitted in carry-on baggage," but anything above that limit must undergo separate screening.

Palmer's followers showed solidarity with her situation, sharing their own similar experiences and frustrations. One Twitter user wrote, "I've had this issue in so many airports. TSA really needs to get it together."
Another person chimed in, "It is a crime. They can't throw out food related to babies. During the formula crisis, I was visiting a friend in VA and found a box of premade formula my cousin needed for her daughter. I was able to bring it through TSA with no issue. Houston airport is breaking the law."
Other people shared their unsettling encounters at airports with one person saying, "I used to work for a major airline, and I'm a mom of 3, it's VERY ILLEGAL for them to handle or throw out breastmilk (including ice packs to keep it preserved). Baby food and formula may exceed standard ounce restrictions. TSA and the airlines know better."
"JFK airport cut the wires in my pump when it went thru baggage check several years ago. Left a sticker on the suitcase indicating that my bag was searched by hand. Do they have any idea how much pumps cost?" a fan added.
