Walt Disney World has confirmed they will bring back the iconic Fourth of July-themed fireworks at Magic Kingdom this year.
Here is everything you should know before visiting the Parks during the holiday weekend.
When Will Disney World Host It's Fourth of July Fireworks?
According to the Walt Disney World calendar, a specially themed fireworks show titled "Disney's Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" will light up the night sky for two nights next month. On July 3 and 4 at 9:20 p.m., Magic Kingdom will show "Disney's Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky" of its regular nighttime fireworks show, "Happily Ever After."
Per Disney, "Prepare for patriotism at its finest when Walt Disney World Resort commemorates Independence Day in the skies above EPCOT and Magic Kingdom park!"
Prepare Before Arriving at Disney World
Before you plan your Walt Disney World vacation, there are a few things you should be aware of. First, to enter a theme park at Disney World, Guests need a valid theme park ticket and a valid Park Pass reservation.
When Walt Disney World reopened to Guests after temporarily shutting down due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the theme park implemented a Park Pass system to help control crowds and monitor the number of Guests entering and leaving each day.
To this day, to enter a theme park at Walt Disney World — including Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Disney's Animal Kingdom, or Disney's Hollywood Studios — Guests must need both a theme park ticket and a Park Pass reservation. If Guests want to visit more than one theme park on the same day, also known as Park Hopping, Guests must first enter the theme park they made their reservation for, and then after 2 p.m., they can enter a second or third park if they wish.
Per the Walt Disney World website, "To enter a theme park, all Guests ages three and older must have a theme park reservation in addition to valid admission for the same park on the same date (limit one park per day). A theme park reservation is not required to visit a water park. However, theme park reservation requirements are subject to change."
Disney changed the system for Annual Passholders recently, allowing Annual Passholders wishing to visit Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios during weekdays without a Park Pass reservation if they enter after 2 p.m.
A Park Pass is still needed for those visiting Magic Kingdom on the weekends, Saturday and Sunday. However, a reservation is not required if visiting one of the other theme parks — EPCOT, Animal Kingdom, or Hollywood Studios. If you are not an Annual Passholder and are a regular ticket holder, you still need a Park Pass reservation to enter a theme park at Walt Disney World.
