Britney Spears Returns To Instagram With No Anniversary Tribute To Sam Asghari

Singer Britney Spears is back on Instagram, but she made no mention of her one-year wedding anniversary to Sam Asghari.

The couple met on the set of her "Slumber Party" music video in 2016 but had to wait until her conservatorship ended in November 2021 before getting married on June 9, 2022.

On Friday, the Iranian actor took to his Instagram Stories to share several sweet tributes to his wife. Britney deleted her Instagram on Thursday night after sharing a "weird" story about her uncle and reinstated her account Friday night; however, she did not post anything about her anniversary... or anything at all.

Although the "Hold Me Closer" singer's Instagram account is back up and running, she has not made any posts since Thursday afternoon. Sam, meanwhile, took to his Instagram Stories to share three tributes to his wife.

On Friday afternoon, he shared a photo of Britney's hand placed over his. She is sported bejeweled nails to match the diamond in her ring as they both show off their wedding bands.

The text over the photo reads, "Happy 1 year anniversary to me & my better half."

A few hours later, the 29-year-old actor shared a 44-second video on his Instagram Stories. The text at the bottom of the video reads, "One year married to the woman of my dreams. Happy anniversary, my love."

The video begins with a drawing of Sam and Britney in their wedding attire before it cuts to shots of the ring and Britney’s wedding dress. It features images of each of them preparing for the wedding, along with Britney climbing into a horse-drawn carriage covered in pink and white roses – her favorite flower.

The video then cuts to the couple standing in front of the altar exchanging their wedding vows before they ride off together in the carriage. They then share a smooch in the living room and on the balcony before it cuts to a photo of their wedding invitations.

The two then ride off in a car that features “Just Married” written on a sign attached to the back, while famous friends wave sparklers around and cheer on the happy couple.

In another video posted a few hours after his wedding video, the former personal fitness trainer shared a sixteen-second clip that featured him about to make dinner. It looks like he and Britney are going to enjoy a quiet night together for their one-year anniversary, free of any possible paparazzi who might spoil their night.

Sam shares a look at some of the ingredients he is using, which includes pasta, garlic, pasta sauce, and Tillamook’s Colby Jack cheese slices, which he ends up feeding to two of the couple’s dogs: Porsha and Sawyer.

“Doing a little cooking tonight, but before I do that, I have to pay tax… to… the government,” he says as he feeds the cheese slices to the two dogs, who appeared to be tied up in the kitchen beside him.

Britney Spears deleted her Instagram account on Thursday afternoon after sharing a story about her uncle, who just so happened to look like actor Brad Pitt. Although she has turned off comments on most of her posts throughout 2023, she left comments on this one.

It's not clear why she deleted her Instagram about an hour after this post, or why she decided to leave comments on. In the caption of this Instagram post, Britney wrote, “We all have our family issues but I do have a beautiful family !!! My mom and dad were a stunning couple when they were young … like shocking attractive !!! I’m sharing this picture because he looks so much like my uncle, it’s kind of creepy !!!”

“My dad’s two brothers lived with us when I was growing up … when I was 2, the one that is identical to this picture helped potty train me … my miniature baby toilet was bright yellow but one day when I sat down, there was a crack in the seat and it cut my little booty !!!” she explained. “All I remember was he picked me up, we looked in the mirror together and he said ‘don’t cry’ !!!”

Sam joked, “Brad stop seducing my wife with your luscious [sic] long blonde hair” while other fans questioned why Britney decided to share the story along with a photo of Brad Pitt. “Brad Pitt is gonna wonder why tf he’s trending lmao,” one fan commented. “Anyone else think it’s strange that an uncle would potty train his niece? And then she would randomly post about it decades later?” another follower asked.

“Y'all are about to remind her why she keeps the comments off,” a third fan chimed in. “I’m not sure about having your uncles potty training you,” another follower shared. “Sorry Brit… but weird post,” another fan added.
