JoJo Siwa Given Prestigious LGBTQ+ Award!

JoJo Siwa has been making her mark on Hollywood and the LGBTQ+ community for years.
The former "Dance Moms" alum came out as pansexual in 2021. Since then, she's been a massive advocate for the LGBTQ+ community.
She's mainly dated women since coming out.

The Blast learned that the 20-year-old was recently awarded the "Future of Hollywood" award at the 10th annual "Real to Reel: Portrayals and Perceptions of LGBTQ+s in Hollywood."
Raven Symoné presented Siwa with the prestigious award on Thursday, June 8th.
Donnelle Dadigan, Founder and President of the Hollywood Museum, proudly announced the museum's salute to the LGBTQ+ community's contributions to the entertainment industry.

The "Real to Reel: Portrayals and Perceptions of LGBTQ+s in Hollywood" exhibit opens June 9th.
Per Neal PR, "This educational, entertaining, and informative retrospective of LGBTQ images in film and television featuring costumes, props, photos, and iconic imagery will tell the story of the milestones and influence that LBGTQ characters and plot lines have had in Hollywood from early stereotypes to modern-day representations."
The Hollywood Museum's 'REAL to REEL' exhibition coincides with the annual Christopher Street West Pride activities. It offers a historical perspective spanning 100+ years, from silent films to today's movies, TV shows, and digital platforms.

"The museum welcomes the opportunity to create and showcase this important exhibition, sharing with the public the artistic expression and extraordinary significance of the LGBTQ+ culture and its effect and impact on the world through the medium of entertainment," Dadigan said.
The exhibit will revisit monumental LGBTQ moments in history with items including Who's Who in LGBTQ+ entertainment costumes, props, and memorabilia.
Personal artifacts from famous LGBTQ+ artists and gay icons from television, film, and music will be displayed.
Think Judy Garland, Cher, Joan Rivers, Whitney Houston, Al Pacino, Dame Edna, "Broke Back Mountain" with Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal, Jim Parsons, "RuPaul's Drag Race" & drag legends including Jim Bailey and CoCo Peru.
Also highlighted in the exhibit will be one of JoJo's concert costumes.

A source revealed the mass chaos outside the Hollywood Museum when JoJo arrived.
"When JoJo arrived at the museum, fans were everywhere; a tour bus was in traffic in front of the museum, and we thought the young people on top of the bus were going to jump off and try to get to JoJo," they explained. "It was CRAZY, but all was well. The screams from the fans were something to see and hear."
During last night's award ceremony, the 20-year-old met Judy Garland's daughter, Lorna Luft.
Lorna and JoJo were both honored at the event, and Lorna is a massive fan of JoJo.
Michael Feinstein presented the Judy Garland Legacy Award to Lorna. She gave a moving speech about her late mother.
JoJo's mom, Jessalynn Siwa, also had a fangirl moment over many celebrity guests.
All LGBTQ+ fun happened at the Hollywood Museum in the iconic Max Factor building.
