Bam Margera Is A Free Man, Headed To Celebrity Rehab

Bam Margera is off that 5150 psychiatric hold, a free man after 72 hours locked up. His next step involves getting clean.

The former pro-skater is taking steps to clean up his life and getting off whatever substance has him out in these streets, acting a plum fool. He went directly to the rehab center that Lamar Odom runs.

Sources share that he was greeted by Odom, who was there to collect him when he was released from the hospital on Wednesday. The 43-year-old looked a little rough but grounded. The Viva La Bam star is likely in the throws of detox.

After he detoxes, he will be transferred to another one of Odom's facilities, where he will begin the real work! In the past, Odom, 43, has publicly offered Margera refuge at one of his detox centers. He has long been invested in seeing the former reality star get the help he needs.

The former MTV star, according to TMZ, was allegedly "receptive to going to rehab." He even "hugged it out" with Odom in the initial meeting. Two of Odom's facilities are located in southern California, so Bam can opt for one if he wants to stay local.

The truth is, Odom nor anyone else has revealed which facility Margera will end up in, but does it even matter now that he is getting help to better his life? Odom's three facilities are Project West in San Diego, Wavelengths in Huntington Beach, California, and Gold Bridge Addiction Center in Louisburg, Kansas.

Margera is allegedly hyper-focused on getting clean for a few reasons, but his main reason is his son, Phoenix, 5.

In a shocking video, Margera has expressed online that he would "smoke crack" until he died unless he could access his son, who is currently estranged from. Soon after that threat, he ended up on that public 5150 hold.

"I haven't seen Phoenix in two f***ing months," Margera expressed. "I have to wake up every day knowing I probably won't get to talk to or see him." The rant continued and got weirder.

"I'm going to smoke crack with the bums down at the f***ing boardwalk until I'm dead unless you deliver me, f***ing Phoenix." He then called out Nikki Boyd, the mother of his son, by name. "Get to work, Nikki, or anyone that wants to help. I want Phoenix."

The last known time that Margera saw his son was March 29, and the interaction didn't go well. Video clips of Margera and Boyd arguing surfaced.

Margera's estranged wife, Boyd, filed for divorce from Margera in 2021, citing irreconcilable differences. She went to court to file for full custody and requested the court award her spousal support in addition to their child's legal and physical custody.

Via her lawyer, she claims she has tried to keep Margera in their son's life and has no problem allowing him access to Phoenix under two conditions: it's in California, and he is sober.
