Cheryl Burke has embraced her solo era!

Cheryl Burke Is In No Hurry To Find True Love Amidst Rediscovering Herself

Even though she claimed she was ready to dip her toes back into the dating pool last December, Burke seems to be backpedaling on that decision. She touched on the issue during the Race To Erase MS 30th Anniversary Gala that was held in Los Angeles on June 2.

"I'm literally dating myself. I know that sounds so, like, clichĂ©, 'OK whatever.' No, but really, I'm not looking, I'm not interested at the moment," she exclusively told E! News at the event. It does not help that the two-time Mirrorball champion's track record of men has left a sour taste in her mouth. Addressing that, she explained

"I haven't been a great picker. But until I change that pattern—I have to really authentically change the pattern, or else I'll continue to pick maybe not the good ones for me."

Despite that, the Filipino American dancer was focused on soaking in the love from her dog Ysabella, as she quipped, "I'm dating my dog, for god's sake. They have no opinion; they're great, they're cute, and they smell maybe a little bit, but that's fine."

We are excited to see that she has Ysabella, as the pup previously caused issues for her and Lawrence regarding their divorce settlements. In the legal documents, which The Blast obtained at the time of the proceedings, it partially stated:

"The court expressly reserves jurisdiction for later determination of the issue of the ownership of the dog "Ysabella.""

Luckily, the estranged lovebirds did not have to tussle over their finances as they both waived their rights to spousal support. They also agreed that Burke would keep the earnings and royalties from "DWTS," alongside residuals and money earned with "QVC." To that end, the docs read:

"On May 20, 2019, Petitioner and Respondent entered into a Premarital Agreement. The (agreement) is valid and enforceable in all respects, and neither Party challenges the validity of the Premarital Agreement. The terms of the Premarital Agreement are incorporated into this Judgment."

Succinctly put, Burke and Lawrence were keeping true to the terms they had already agreed on through their prenuptial contract. The "Boy Meets World" actor has since moved on with TLC singer Chilli.

Amid her former beau getting a new woman in early January, the television host updated her fans on how she was faring. Per The Blast, she uploaded three photos on Instagram, with the first showing her smiling as she stood atop a scooter wearing a white short-sleeved top and brown wide-legged pants.

She added a nude jacket, which paired perfectly with her pumps, for the second slide's shot and returned to a jacketless pose in the third. Beneath the images, the "Dancing Lessons" author divulged that she wanted to "check in" with her 734k followers following the numerous questions she had received about how she has been doing lately. Responding to the questions, Burke penned:

"If I could describe how I feel in one word I honestly couldn't. Each day presents its own bliss but also its own challenges. There are some days where I wake up dominated by my overwhelming feelings of anxiety, allowing the outside world to define my identity."

She added that she occasionally felt at peace and felt anxious at other times, which helped her connect with her "true essence and purpose." Ultimately, she was "proud to say" that she was "alone, not lonely."

"Through all of the ups and downs, and "the work" I've done on myself, I find comfort in knowing that the only person who can fill up my cup, is ME. And for the first time, I can genuinely say that, I LOVE ME!" the "Hell's Kitchen" VIP guest diner further wrote.
