As a first-time grandpa, billionaire investor Bill Gates is taking his responsibilities pretty seriously, melting the hearts of his ever-supportive followers.
Bill became a grandfather for the first time in March, following his firstborn daughter Jennifer Gates welcoming a daughter with her husband, Nayel Nassar.
Since welcoming the little one, the renowned philanthropist has ensured to be a constant figure in her life, even going as far as making plans to read her first book to her, as recently witnessed on social media.

Bill is letting the world know he is the best grandad as he hopes to influence his granddaughter with his spectacular taste in books. On Instagram, the Microsoft co-founder shared that he was deciding on the first book to read to his beloved grandchild.
He was filmed standing behind a desk covered with stacks of colorful books for kids. Only the upper body of the business magnate was seen, clad in a gray-blue sweatshirt with a striped shirt underneath.
He held up a few books from the collection on the table and went through their pages one after the other, including one titled "Pandemic for Babies" and another named "Climate Change for Babies." The reel then displayed sequential views of more books with their titles, including "Quantum Information for Babies," "Robotics for Babies," "Nuclear Physics for Babies," and "Quantum Computing for Babies."
Evidently, Bill wanted his granddaughter to gain interest in the causes he held dear to his heart. However, he eventually settled with the classic, "I am a Bunny." After making the tough decision to choose the classic children's book, the 67-year-old sat back, grinning at the camera with his arms folded across his chest.
The clip captioned, "With so many books to choose from, I had to go with a classic," did not go unnoticed by many Instagram users as it has gained over 620k views in no time. More than 25k reacted with likes, and although the comment section was restricted, we can assume that Bill's followers loved up on the proud grandpa moment.
The update comes nearly two months after he and his ex-wife Melinda Gatescelebrated the birth of their first grandchild with separate but similarly adorable posts. In the Cascade Investment chairman's tribute, he was seen wearing a navy blue sweatshirt and pants, carrying the tot, who looked cute in a pink onesie.
He was also captured playing with her fingers and looking overjoyed as he smiled down at her. Taking to the caption, he expressed, "I can't wait to watch you discover the world."
On the other hand, Melinda went for a lengthier caption, attached to an image of herself in an orange blouse and black slacks, cuddling the baby to her chest and beaming at the camera. The 58-year-old was undoubtedly on cloud nine, holding her first grandchild, and she confessed so, noting that time had flown since she first carried her firstborn, Jennifer.
"It seems like yesterday I was holding Jenn at this age," she wrote. "Now she has a baby of her own – and I am bursting with pride watching her and Nayel step into their new role as parents."
Numerous commenters sent good wishes to the grandparents with beautiful remarks, including Hollywood stars Dax Shepard and Ava DuVernay and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai.
The TerraPower Co-founder And Ex-Wife Supported Daughter At Her Master's Graduation
It has been two years since Bill and Melinda went their separate ways after decades of being married. Nevertheless, they make co-parenting work given their amicable relationship.
Last month, The Blast reported that the parents showed up in good spirits for their daughter Jennifer's graduation from Columbia University based on photos on the 27-year-old's Instagram. The graduate posed between her parents, wearing a blue graduation gown and cap while grinning widely like the estranged couple. Standing by Bill's side, her husband Nassar was also included in the family photo.
In the accompanying message, Jennifer revealed that she had earned an "accelerated" Master's degree in public health from Columbia University and went on to appreciate the institution for "this incredible educational opportunity."
She further expressed gratitude to her loved ones for making the feat possible with their support before explaining that her accelerated degree meant she would officially be awarded in October, months away from graduation.
