Jessie J is a mom now, and while she is busy mothering, she hopped on the gram to share information about the big day.
Jessie J Dances Her Son Out
The singer has kept the same energy her entire pregnancy, so it was no surprise that she was dancing and laughing the day she was meant to give birth. The excited then-expectant mom made a hospital and compression socks look like a fashion statement.
She shared her feelings, culminating her 40 weeks of pregnancy, in the sweet post and video. “I spent nine months prepping for a natural birth. Strict food, the epi no, yoga, swimming, hypnobirthing methods,” she writes.
“I had a tens machine, a birthing comb; I wanted a pool birth, ideally with no medication. But this was MY plan to stay disciplined and focused. I knew it could and would most likely go in a completely different direction,” she recalls.
Jessie J Had No Birth Plan
The singer responded that she was often asked about her plan when the birth took place and never the planner. “When people asked me “So what’s your birth plan,” I said, “I am open to surrendering to the safest way for my baby boy to arrive.”
By no means was her pregnancy easy, she admits. “I had a scan at a few days off of 40 weeks, and he was completely the wrong way around and stuck as he was a little chunkier than your average and long.”

She continues. “I did everything to try and turn him in for two months, but he said, “Nah, mum, I wanna make an entrance out the roof, not the front door.” The doctors were concerned for both Jessie and her unborn son.
Jessie J Was Advised Not To Have A Natural Birth
She, of course, listened to her doctors. “I was advised to have a planned C-section for the safest birth. This video was taken 5 minutes before I went down to surgery. I went into active labor the night before, felt all the feels but mostly just exciting for us to meet our baby boy.’
She says all this to say that you never know what you are in for, but if you have faith and trust the process, you don’t have to be stressed about it. While her birth didn’t look like what she thought, it was still magical for her.
“I guess I’m sharing this because so many people have said “Do you feel like you missed out on the birth you wanted?” she continues, “I had a birth, and it was everything I wanted because I got him at the end of it, that’s all that matters 🤍🫧.”
Jessie J Getting All The Love
The singer’s long-winded but sweet message garnered much attention from fellow celebs, new moms, and moms-to-be like Hilary Swank, who is dealing with twins! “Love this; thank you so much for sharing!! 💝💕 and congratulations on the most extraordinary gift; isn’t it heaven on earth? It’s the most magical thing in the entire world. ✨🤍👼🏼 enjoy every second. 🙌🏽.”
Singer Melanie Fiona wrote, “THIS. SURRENDER is my MOTHERHOOD MANTRA. The greatest thing we can do for ourselves. Release the desire to feel in control… and allow everything to work out as it should. It’s freeing. 💜”
I can’t wait to see Jessie J in mommy mode!
