Kate Bosworth and Justin Long Secretly Married In ‘Low-Key’ NYC Ceremony

Actor Justin Long and actress Kate Bosworth are already married despite only getting engaged a few weeks ago!

The couple, who started publicly dating in March 2022, sparked engagement rumors a year later when the "Blue Crush" actress was seen sporting an engagement ring at the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party. Then, in May, the two created even more speculation that they were already married when fans thought they noticed them wearing wedding bands in Mother's Day photographs posted on their Instagram Stories.

It seems that the couple really could not wait to tie the knot, as they apparently did get married in May in a New York City ceremony that onlookers said looked more like a photo shoot than an actual wedding!

Fans might not be all that surprised to learn that Justin Long and Kate Bosworth are already married! A source told Page Six on Wednesday afternoon that the couple got married at The Rockaway Hotel in Queens without much planning. The couple had attended an event at the venue held by the surf brand Roxy, which Kate recently collaborated with in a swimsuit photo shoot.

“It was a very low-key ceremony. Onlookers thought it was an engagement photo shoot of some sort — not an actual wedding,” the insider revealed.  “They fell in love with the vibe of the hotel, and they decided to get married the next day right then and there!”

Earlier this month, the "Accepted" actor revealed on his "Life Is Short" podcast that he had already gotten married when he referred to Kate as his wife. He had been talking to guest Kyra Sedgwick about having Kate visit him on set while he was filming "Barbarian" in Bulgaria.

“I was there while I was like really falling in love with my now-wife,” he said last month. “She came to visit and I had never been comfortable with set visits. I like to separate the relationship … But, yeah, I loved having her there and we just had the most magical time.”

In early April, Justin and Kate appeared together on his “Life is Short With Justin Long” podcast to confirm the rumors that they were engaged. The “Jeepers Creepers” actor revealed that he had already planned something for her birthday in January, but, the proposal “spilled out” in an “organic” way after a therapy session.

“I did have a special thing planned around [Kate’s] birthday and about a month before that, life, like we were talking about, things change, and sometimes they change pretty drastically without any warnings,” Justin said while talking to Kate on the podcast. “It was a moment where it just felt so organic and it felt connected to something very, very deeply, profoundly personal that we were going through, like, a real-life change, and so it came out in a very organic way."

Kate also shared that their therapist “gave us a really great piece of advice which was: ‘Make sure that you’re pretty consistently asking the other what you need, or asking the other what they need.’” Later on, she said she asked Justin what he needed when the two were in private.

“And he, like, really looked at me and he said, ‘To spend my life with you,’ and I smiled and I said, ‘Well, yeah, you have that. Oh my gosh, you have that,’ and he said, ‘No, I mean I really want to spend my life with you,’” she recalled.

This is Justin's first marriage. Kate had previously been married to director Michael Polish from 2013 to 2021. The divorce was only finalized in April, seemingly after Justin and Kate had already become engaged. Regardless, a source told PEOPLE magazine that Kate was "on cloud nine" following the proposal.

“She is showing off her engagement ring to friends. She is being coy about details, but she is beaming,” the insider said, adding, “Everyone is happy for her” and her friends think that “Justin is a great guy. He adores her. It’s amazing to see them together.”
