After Bartise Bowden announced he is a father, many "Love Is Blind" and "Perfect Match" fans were trying to do the math. Based on the timeline of the two back-to-back reality shows, many people were questioning the timing of the reality star's big announcement.
Bowden recently explained the timeline and why it doesn't look like it all adds up on camera during an appearance on "Talk'R" podcast.
Bartise Bowden Clears Up Any Confusion On The Timing Of The Shows And Announcing His Son
The 27-year-old reality star admitted that the timeline of how it "plays out on camera doesn't make any sense."
"What actually happened was, I filmed 'Love Is Blind,' I had a whole relationship between 'Love Is Blind' and 'Perfect Match,' filmed 'Perfect Match,' came back, conceived a son," he said during the podcast.
"'Perfect Match' had not been out yet, had not aired, so I knew if I would make the announcement that I had a son before 'Perfect Match' airs, it's gonna make no sense to anybody."
He further explained that he made the announcement of his son, Hayden, when it felt "safest for everybody involved." The reality star also discussed his desire to protect the privacy of the baby and his mother.
"There's a difference between privacy and secrecy," he explained.
"I want to keep my private life as private as I can get it to be, or as private as I needed it to be for my son and my baby mama and for everybody involved in my close circle."
Bowden said he wanted to share what's going on in his life with his fans and followers because he's proud.
"I want to share his life because I am so proud and I'm so proud of his mother," he continued. "I'm so proud of the relationship we all have, the three of us together."
Many reality fans have wondered if the couple are still in any sort of relationship together. Bartise said they are co-parenting and single parenting at the same time.
"Even though we're not dating, we are friends. I say this all the time: We are single parenting and co-parenting at the same time," he said to clear up any confusion.
"I hang out with my son alone, I hang out with his mom alone, we'll hang out with the three of us together, I'll hang out with her family. We are very involved together and separately, which is beautiful, and I wouldn't want it any other way given our circumstances."

Fellow "Love Is Blind" cast member Shayne Jansen left some positivity in the comments for Bowden, "Congrats big fella!! Youre going to be a great father and know you have a great support group behind you. 🙌"
"Bartise being the first dad after Perfect Match was not on my bingo card," one follower wrote in the comments.
Another added, "The math ain't mathing. He did two shows back to back wouldn't that mean he left girl pregnant at home to go find someone else on a dating show?"
