Donning a stylish light tan suit, Roker playfully responded, "I don't want to go there," with a smile. He assured everyone that his new knee served him well, saying, "We're putting it to use. It's all good, all good."
Kotb joined in, expressing her joy at having the "Another World" guest star back, saying, "We're so happy to have you back, Al." During his co-hosting duties on the "Third Hour" segment, he opened up about his recent surgery, explaining:
"This was a much more involved operation because they were taking out a knee and putting a knee in and some other stuff. But that said, it's coming along well."
In addition to his return on Tuesday, the "Seinfeld" actor had previously surprised his "Today" colleagues after his knee operation. Proving his strong bond with his work family, Roker took to Instagram to share a joyful video featuring them all together.
Set to Sister Sledge's "We Are Family (1995 Remaster)," the clip showcased the father-of-three posing happily with his teammates against various backdrops during a photoshoot.
The fans flooded the comments section with support and admiration for the team. One user expressed their love for the camaraderie among the team, while another referred to them as a "Great group!!👏."
More compliments poured in, with someone describing them as "cute" and another saying, "Glad to see you are feeling better!"
The Weatherman's Supportive Wife, Deborah Roberts, Opened Up About His Health Struggles
Fans will recall that before his knee replacement, the beloved weatherman had endured lengthy hospital stays due to blood clots in his leg, which eventually affected his lungs.
Months after his triumphant return to the Today show, The Blast reported that the dedicated wife of the beloved host shared her perspective on the challenging journey they both endured.
Throughout his absence, she supported and cared for him and kept everyone informed about his health status.
During the red-carpet premiere of the documentary "Pretty Baby: Brooke Shields," the ABC News correspondent lightheartedly joked about her husband driving her crazy now that he was back to work.
She also emphasized the "taxing, exhausting, and frightening" nature of being a caregiver. Reflecting on her role, the 62-year-old expressed hope that she would never face such challenges again. Roberts stated to ET:
"But it's tough. It's tough. I'm still kind of, I think, recuperating. I'm still kind of tired. I'm still mentally exhausted, but you know what, I'm grateful and just trying to just bask in the moment and just be happy that he's well, and we're all well."
The journalist credited her unwavering faith in God as a guiding force throughout the challenging journey. The TV personality emphasized the importance of spirituality and expressed her gratitude for the support she received from her family, friends, and colleagues at work. Their presence reminded her that she was not alone in facing the difficulties.
