Halle Berry has won a court battle against her ex-partner Gabriel Aubry in their child support war. She has gotten a court to cap her payments and now only has to pay about $110k yearly.

The victory comes as Berry prepares to release two high-profile and lucrative films later this year. However, the mother of two still has to pay Aubry about $290k due from her 2022 earnings.

Berry and Aubry dated from 2005 to 2010, after which their custody and child support battles began. The "Kidnap" star previously accused Aubry of "living off" her child support payments and said it should be heavily cut.

Halle Berry has reportedly won another court battle in her decade-long child support war against ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry. The "Catwoman" star has been embroiled with the fathers of her two kids, Nahla Aubry and Maceo Martinez, for many years, almost two decades.

In 2014, an L.A. Superior court ordered Berry to pay Aubry $16k monthly, which she later called "extortion." In 2021, the actress convinced a court to cut that figure to $8k monthly but also received a clause to pay 4.3 percent of her annual income above $1.95 million.

According to the Daily Mail, Berry has convinced the court to cap her child support payments at $ 4.5 million. This means the "Frankie & Alice" star now pays a maximum of $110k to Aubry each year, including monthly payments.

The court filings obtained by the publication read, "The parties agree that additional child support over and above $109,650 per year would exceed Nahla's reasonable needs."

Gabriel Aubry Would Have Earned $860,000 This Year

The win comes as Berry prepares to release two lucrative and high-profile film projects this year.

This includes "Our Man from Jersey," an action thriller alongside Mark Wahlberg, and "The Mothership," a sci-fi film she's doing with Netflix. Berry makes an estimated $10 million from each film project, so under the old agreement, she'd have been mandated to give Aubry $860k from her earnings.

Judge Michelle Kazadi stamped the modified agreement on May 17th, so Berry's incoming earnings are safe. However, the judge also noted to Berry that she owes Aubry about $290k from her total earnings from 2022, which she'll pay in monthly installments.

Berry and Aubry's child support agreement will remain in place until Nahla finishes high school or turns 19 in high school. After Berry's divorce from Eric Benet, the former couple started their relationship in 2005 and broke up in 2010.

In his breakup announcement, Aubry wrote, "She is, and will forever be, one of the most special and beautiful people I have ever known, and I am certain that we will continue to have only love and respect for one another."

The actress and model said they would "remain friends and committed parents," but this didn't last long. Berry soon tried to move with Nahla to France to live with Olivier Martinez, whom she later married and divorced. She wanted France because of the strict privacy rules there, but a judge blocked the decision.

Berry has insisted that the amount she pays for child support should be cut by as high as 80 percent. The "Catwoman" actress has also accused Aubry of profiting off her and "living off" the child support payments she made.

According to Daily Mail, Berry once accused her ex-partner of straightening and dyeing her daughter's hair to change her appearance and make it "more white." The judge in that lawsuit seemingly aligned with the actress by ruling that neither Berry nor Aubry could alter Nahla's natural hair.

In her lawsuit, Berry wrote, "It was with regret that I concluded that I had to seek the court's intervention on these issues. But until Gabriel recognizes the meaning of joint legal custody and how it is implemented, the court will be my only resort to safeguard Nahla's best interests."

As reported by The Blast, the "Monster's Ball" actress recently reached an agreement with her ex-husband Olivier Martinez, to settle their ongoing divorce out of the public eye.
