Halle Berry To Settle Lingering Divorce With A Private Judge
According to an exclusive report by The Blast, the “Moonfall” actress and her estranged husband, Olivier Martinez, have opted to settle their legal battle away from the public eye, as they have acquired the services of a private judge.
Berry filed for divorce from Martinez in 2015 after only being married for two years. The pair met on the set of their 2010 movie “Dark Tide,” and both share a son, Maceo.
The couple chose to delegate the legal battle to retired judge Roy L. Paul, a strategy celebrities use to keep information about a case private.
The court document obtained by The Blast reads, “All proceedings before the Temporary Judge shall be open to the public, with no restriction on attendance that would not be applicable if the proceedings were held in a courthouse.”
She is currently in a relationship with musician Van Hunt and has been spotted publicly with him several times.
