Kanye West and Kim Kardashian took off in a gigantic private airplane and ended up in Tokyo, Japan to meet up with one of the hottest artists around.
Kim and Kanye were seen Wednesday morning with contemporary artist Takashi Murakami at his studio. The stars posed for photos in front of Murakami's works of art, including a giant wall of multi-colored skulls.
It's unclear what exactly Kanye and Murakami are cooking up, but the Japanese artist recently did a collaboration with Ye's good friend, Virgil Abloh.

Murakami and Abloh had an exhibition in October at the Gagosian Gallery called, "Ameria Too," and it wouldn't be crazy if the two stars met up and planned a meeting.
Murakami and West have worked together in the past too, he designed the rapper's Graduation album cover and directed an animated music video for the song, "Good Morning."

Along with Murakami, the Wests also took a photo with makeup guru Kristen Noel Crawley. The visit to Tokyo comes on the heels of the famous couple taking harsh criticism for showcasing a luxurious Boeing 747 that was chartered for the trip to Asia.
Many fans scolded Kardashian and West for the overly excessive transportation, and for the lack of awareness for the environment.
