While there is no context to the Story, fans can only wonder what he's saying "bye" to. Possibly the 2022-2023 season? But the Grizzlies' season has been done for a while now. Or is there more news about Morant's suspension or place in the league headed fans' way?

While The Blast only caught the last Story before it was deleted, it seems a few saw all four of his concerning Stories before he took them down. Official NBA Buzz shared the Stories on Instagram.

Morant is currently suspended from all team activities while the league investigates the latest gun incident where the Grizzlies star flashed a gun during a friend's Instagram Live the weekend of May 13.

The first incident occurred earlier this year when he went on Instagram Live flashing a gun. He was suspended for eight games and went to a Florida counseling center for two weeks to learn how to better manage his stress. He apologized and promised to make better choices moving forward.

After the second IG Live gun incident, Morant broke his silence with a short apology and taking accountability for his actions.

"I know I’ve disappointed a lot of people who have supported me. This is a journey and I recognize there is more work to do," Morant’s statement reads.

"My words may not mean much right now, but I take full accountability for my action. I’m committed to continuing to work on myself."

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver recently opened up about Morant's situation, explaining what they spoke about the last time around.

"Well, we talked directly about the consequences first before we got to a subsequent potential to have done something wrong. We were very focused on the misconduct that was in front of us at the time and frankly, most of our conversation was about how incredibly serious the first incident was of waving a firearm on social media," he said.

"And again, the consequences there, an eight-game suspension was pretty serious and something that he at least to me seemed to take incredibly seriously in that time."

Silver also said that he spoke with the NBA star at length about the consequences of his actions and who it affects.

"My concern, and I thought he shared with me, that millions, if not tens of millions of kids globally would see him as having done something that was celebrating in a way. That act of sort of using a firearm in that fashion," he continued.

"I at least was left with the sense that he was taking this incredibly seriously. Honestly, I was shocked when I saw this weekend that video. Now, we’re in the process of investigating it."

Silver added that while the league is currently investigating the video, he’s “assuming the worst.”
