Amanda Smith has shared some good news about her health challenges!
The "Selling Sunset" star informed her millions of social media followers that she is now cancer free after learning her biopsy was benign. She has been well-loved since joining the hit Netflix series in its second season and even announced her health scare during the show's latest season six.
Amanda Smith Received A Clean Bill Of Health & She Shared The News In Style
Viewers of "Selling Sunset" sighed in relief after Smith took to Instagram to share that her health was in tiptop shape earlier this week. The reality star had uploaded four images that showed her wearing a black cropped camisole, matching short skirt, and thigh-high boots over a sheer long-sleeved bodysuit with red designs.
"Thank you to everyone for your concerns and well wishes towards my health. I am happy to tell you that I am. Cancer is free and possibly aging backward and happier than I've been in forever! The autopsy results were benign!" she began in her lengthy caption.
The former interior designer mentioned her appreciation for being in good health. She explained that she had "lost many loved ones" to cancer, including her adoptive father, whom she mourned on the reality show's latest season.
"Maybe I didn't say how he passed, but that was how and it is a susceptible subject," Smith added before referencing her feud with her costar Chrishell Stause, telling her followers not to use the opportunity to be negative. She wanted them to "celebrate life on this post" instead of talking about Stause, whom she blocked on Instagram recently for yet-to-be-disclosed reasons.
"Negativity causes disease everyone remembers that … it's something we don't want to mess with … love, positivity, and happiness heal it. Big love to you all. Thank you for the support," the mother-of-two continued.
Smith concluded with another message of gratitude, this time for "Selling Sunset" being the "number one show in the US on Netflix" and the hashtag, "f**kcancer." Her cast mates Nicole Young, Heather Rae El Moussa, and Chelsea Lazkani were some of the first to comment on the news.
While Young wrote, "Beautiful inside and out! And one amazing mother! Love you to the moon and back ❤️❤️," Lazkani and El Moussa left multiple red heart emojis. "I am so relieved!!! This earth is better with you on it, Amanza," one fan expressed, and another commented, "So happy you are healthy and thriving, mama!"
ICYMI, Smith had first mentioned that she was gearing up for a biopsy during a confessional on the fourth episode of season six, where she stated, "Recently, there were things seen on a questionable scan. I need to get a biopsy, so, you know, that feels sh**ty."
She then sat with her costar Mary Fitzgerald for a heart-to-heart talk, explaining that her uterus was filled with "a lot of stuff" that could be "a wide array of things." However, she was holding on to hope that it was not her worst fears coming to light.
The electrically charged moment was worsened by Fitzgerald comforting and hugging her friend, who was visibly holding back tears as they embraced. She also professed her love for the 46-year-old, continuing, "I'm so sorry that you're going through all of this."
The 'Celebrity Family Feud' Contestant Stopped Being Friends With Chrishell Stause Ahead Of 'Selling Sunset' Premiere
Even though she told her fans not to talk about it, Smith's beef with Stause has been at the forefront of news bulletins for weeks. Per Insider, the former friends' feud had played out on social media days before the show's sixth season became available for streaming on Friday, May 19.
Smith first addressed — and confirmed — the feud when replying to a fan's comment about her no longer following the 41-year-old on Instagram, revealing that she was "Not friends with her in person anymore." She then claimed, "I blocked her because the side of her face triggers me, and I don't like to be triggered."
The single mom dismissed the speculation that their beef was related to Smith's friendship with Young, who originally joined the show as a guest star in its third season. Responding to a second commenter who claimed that the "Deal or No Deal" alum was "in the wrong" for ending her friendship with her recently married costar, she typed:
"I appreciate your opinion. However, you are incorrect, and my friendship with Nicole has nothing to do with the ending of my friendship with Tarina Stause." "Tarina" references the "All My Children" star's first name, Terrina.
