Jennette McCurdy Celebrates 40 Weeks On The New York Times Best Sellers List; 'I Can't Believe It'

Jennette McCurdy is celebrating and for 40 great reasons!

The actress-turned-author's book, "I'm Glad My Mom Died," has been going strong on the New York Times Best Sellers List for 40 weeks.

In a celebratory Instagram post with a carousel of photos expressing McCurdy's excitement about her significant accomplishment, she explains that she didn't expect this to happen when she wrote the book. But first, she had to address that to some; the photos may look like she's celebrating her 40th birthday, even though she's only 30.

"No, I'm not turning 40, lol," she began her caption.

"But 40 weeks on the New York Times Bestseller list for IGMMD?! I can't believe it. I can't believe millions of you (millions ?!) have taken the time to read this book and have connected with it so deeply. The past nine months have been a wild ride beyond anything I could have imagined. I appreciate every second of it. Thank you all for making it happen."

One follower commented about the 40 confusion saying, "Omg, I was like GIRL, WE AIN'T 40, WE JUST TURNED 30 ? that split-second panic was hilarious ?."

The comment continued to talk about the book being a best seller for so long. "Seriously, so proud of you, hun; 40 weeks is such a long time! Legit the number of weeks of pregnancy! This book is your child!"

Another follower wrote, "You deserve this so much! Your book is one of the best I have EVER read! Congrats!!"

Many other congratulatory messages filled the comment section.

McCurdy took her book on tour for a few months visiting various places. She shared some of those moments on Instagram.

In one post, she talks about the questions she got from students while on tour and how they inspire her.

"It's fun to speak at colleges and connect with your students. I'm blown away by some of the q's in the q&a portion," she wrote. "One question I got recently was, 'How can I cultivate a better relationship with my inner child?' WHAT?! You're 19!! I had no clue what an inner child was when I was 19, let alone the money to ask about having a better relationship with her. You guys inspire mes."

McCurdy also got to speak at the Sydney Opera House, which was a big deal for her.

"Speaking at the Sydney Opera House was unforgettable!! Years ago, I hit my 'rock bottom' in Australia in the backseat of an Uber while looking at the Sydney Opera House from afar, down a tooth and a lot of hope, fresh off purging my Tim Tams. I was at a place where I didn't believe things could get better, but I knew if there was any chance of that happening, of things changing, that I would have to start by changing the only thing I had any control over myself," she wrote.

Her caption explained that the circumstances surrounding this visit to Australia were very different than before and offered a "once-in-a-lifetime moment" for her.

Fellow Nickelodeon actress Victoria Justice commented, "Legend ??." Another follower commented, "Life does come full circle in the best way!!! So proud of you. ???♥️"
