Jennette McCurdy Grateful For 'I'm Glad My Mom Died' Staying On Bestsellers List

Jennette McCurdy's book "I'm Glad My Mom Died" has been a hit since its release earlier this year. She recently shared her gratitude for the book staying on the New York Times Bestsellers list in an Instagram post.

The memoir details McCurdy's life and covers everything from her mother's narcissistic abuse, her days of being a child actor, battling an eating disorder and everything in between, in a real but also humorous way.

The "iCarly" star, 30, posted a carousel of photos with a caption that expressed her gratitude. "Thank you all so much for keeping IGMMD on the New York Times Bestseller list for TWENTY consecutive weeks," her caption begins. "I never could’ve imagined the book would make this kind of impact." McCurdy included snaps of the New York Times Bestsellers Print Hardcover and Combined Print and E-Book lists, as well as a photo of herself in the post.

She continued her caption, "To know that literal millions (!!) of you have taken the time to read it and have connected with it so intimately… wow. I am deeply grateful. The only other thing I am this grateful for is Jeff Probst. ?"

Many of her fans left inspirational and positive messages in the comment section of the post. One fan shared her personal story and how the book affected her. "Jennette you don’t know me but I just wanted to say thank you so much for putting into words something I’ve never been able to. Thanks to you (and an amazing therapist) I now see that I had an abusive mother and was screwed by the industry. Your book made me laugh and cry in a way I’ve need to so badly for years. Thank you. I’m sure writing it was triggering and stressful but I hope you are aware of how many people you have helped. Love ?," she wrote.

Another follower added, "This book is a masterpiece. It touched my soul on a different level. For me, it felt like I was holding my breath throughout the book and was finally able to take a deep breath when I finished it. I cried, I laughed. Thank you for sharing this with us.?"

Another fan also wrote about how reading the book felt her feel less alone. "There were moments of your book that just left me dumbfounded at the similarities in our mothers. At 37 I've been working through this for a few years, but your book made me feel like I wasn't alone. Thank you x," she said.

McCurdy has been busy traveling around the country on a college tour promoting her book. She recently wrapped up the first leg of the tour after visiting Miami University, UC Riverside, UC Boulder, Brown, Penn State and many others. The actress shared a carousel of photos from the tour and listed each of the schools in her caption as well as thanking everyone for being involved. She concluded her caption, "I'm exhausted, and will now be in my room sleeping and relentlessly watching 'Survivor' for the next week. Jeff Probst is my hero."

McCurdy also recently shared her excitement about the book being featured on the inside flap and inside front cover of New York Magazine on Instagram. Tons of support and well wishes filled the comment section.

Actress Selma Blair commented, "????. Hats off to you! Reading and loving. I so get it. ?" Actor Dax Shepard also dropped into the comment section to say, "So deserved ???"

One fan wanted to let McCurdy know how reading her book affected her by saying, "I just finished your book. I have never simultaneously laughed and cried so much in my life. You are an incredible writer. It was hard to put your book down."
