A final vote by the franchise's board members is yet to take place, as it appears they are waiting for the green light from the NFL.

All things being equal, the purchase will make Brady the third former player in the league's history to hold ownership in a franchise, a record previously shared by George Halas and Jerry Richardson.

He would also see a slew of familiar faces at the Raiders, with the team's second-year head coach, Josh McDaniels, topping the list.

Earlier in the year, it was announced that Brady had also acquired an ownership stake in the WNBA's Las Vegas Aces, a franchise also owned by Davis.

"I am very excited to be part of the Las Vegas Aces organization," Brady said at the time in a statement, per CNN.

The seven times Super Bowl winner also remarked that he had always been "a huge fan of women's sports" before heaping praise on the work being done at the Aces.

Since retiring from active football, Brady has been making moves on the business side, bagging massive deals, including a 10-year, $375 million contract to broadcast NFL games with Fox.

Due to start in 2024, the deal will reportedly not affect his minority stake purchase in the Las Vegas Raiders, as the network has no qualms about Brady's involvement with the franchise, per ESPN.

Brady is also in the clear regarding the NFL policy on whether there is a conflict of interest. A rule says a person can have club ownership or be a part owner except if they are a showrunner at a media company and might impact broadcast rights negotiations.

Per the arrangement, Brady will take over as Fox's top game analyst and act as an ambassador for client and marketing campaigns.
