Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick's Love Story
Per The New York Times, Parker and Broderick crossed paths in November 1991, courtesy of Parker's older brothers, Pippin and Toby. They had forged a friendship with Broderick after he directed a play at the esteemed Naked Angels Theater Company, where Toby showcased his talent. However, it wasn't until February 1992 that the iconic "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" actor gathered the courage to ask his future wife out on a date.
Reminiscing on the moment "The Cable Guy" star asked her out, Parker shared with the outlet in 1996, "He left a very charming, very self-effacing message on the machine. You know, 'Hi, it's Matthew Broderick.'"
Their romantic journey reached its pinnacle on a magical day in New York City, May 19, 1997, when Parker and Broderick exchanged vows in a heartfelt ceremony. Celebrating their silver 25th-anniversary last year, Parker honored her husband by unveiling a captivating throwback photo of their younger selves and a glimpse of the invitation to their intimate wedding "party." Accompanying the snapshots, she tenderly wrote, "Evening Attire. Silver, baby. 25 years and counting. X, your wife."

Fast forward to last December, James, now a young adult at 20, and Marion and Tabitha, 13, graced the spotlight alongside their parents. Stepping out together for a rare public appearance, they joined their parents at the premiere of the enchanting Broadway musical "Some Like It Hot."
Sarah Jessica Parker And Matthew Broderick On Their Marriage
Although the celebrity couple has managed to keep their marriage out of the public eye, they took to the big screen together last year, uniting their talents to portray a married couple in the Broadway play "Plaza Suite." According to Broderick, the experience of playing a role that invited public scrutiny about their relationship proved to be quite unnerving. He shared that it was "a terrifying thing."
In a rare joint interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Parker shed light on their approach to maintaining a successful marriage amid the demands of fame. Reflecting on their long-standing philosophy, she remarked, "I've always said one of the reasons we've had success is because we don't talk about our marriage."
She added, "I'm not flattering myself that anyone's discussing my marriage, but we're certainly not going to add to it by saying, 'Well, this is why it works.' Next thing you know, there'll be a very public divorce. So we try to respect each other."
Although the couple has been married since 1997, Parker disclosed that their role in "Plaza Suite" marked a milestone in their togetherness. She candidly revealed that before "Plaza Suite," she and her husband had never spent such an extensive amount of time in each other's presence. "
Even when we were dating," she said. "But it's a very different kind of time. It's not like we're spending more time together talking. We're spending time together working in an alternate universe. We're not ourselves."
