Sylvester Stallone is shedding light on the uniqueness of his family's new docu-series!

The Stallones are no strangers to fame, with their patriarch dominating the big screen with iconic roles and his wife, Jennifer Flavin, a well-known figure in the fashion industry. However, as the couple and their three daughters prepare to share their lives with viewers, they aim to stay true to themselves rather than imitate the successful formula of the Kardashian family.

After starring in highly successful movies like "Rocky" and "Rambo," the renowned actor takes on a different role, this time as himself. In the upcoming series, "The Family Stallone," the 76-year-old will take center stage alongside his wife and their girls Sophia, Sistine, and Scarlet.

The show takes a unique approach as a docu-series rather than a typical reality show, offering an authentic glimpse into their lives. Premiering on Wednesday, May 17, they opened up about the challenges of being in front of the camera, including the three-time Oscar nominee's role in guiding his daughters through the ups and downs of their romantic relationships.

Speaking with ET's Cassie DiLaura, he expressed his enthusiasm for transitioning from the big screen to the small one and acknowledged the opportunity to embrace their current notoriety.

Flavin emphasized that nothing is staged in the series, expressing her intention to avoid contrived situations. She mentioned that the show is not about excessive drama or manufactured conflicts, stating, "I wanted to show people real-life things that happen."

Viewers of "The Family Stallone" can expect to witness a wide range of experiences, including the award-winning star's involvement in his daughters' romantic lives. Sophia shared that her father gives the best dating advice, while her mother revealed that he even writes their breakup texts.

Unabashedly, he admitted to his role, stating, "Guilty. I'm a good writer." However, his tendency to include his famous catchphrase, "Keep punching," was noted by Sistine, who disclosed that she removes that part from the messages. 

While expressing confidence in the show's longevity, they clarified that they are not aiming to emulate the long-running reality series of the Kardashian family. They acknowledged the Kardashians' success: "They've done it so right. And it works for them, and there would be no point copying them." Sylvester declared they are focused on authenticity, adding, "Because that's what we are."

Despite being one of the most enduring couples in the entertainment industry, the pair surprised fans when Flavin filed for divorce last August, almost ending their two-decade-long marriage.

However, a month later, they again stunned the public by reconciling. The Blast reported that afterward, Stallone shed light on the whole experience, which he described as a "very tumultuous time."

Reports indicated they were headed for a contentious legal battle to divide their shared assets. However, through private and heartfelt conversations, they reconciled their differences. 

In an interview with the (Sunday Times), the "Demolition Man" actor noted that during this phase, he engaged in deep self-reflection, realizing the importance of prioritizing his availability for his family above all other commitments. 

According to (Yahoo) he stated, "There was a reawakening of what was more valuable than anything, which is my love for my family. It takes precedence over my work, and that was a hard lesson to learn."

As to what caused the admired couple to be on the brink of separation, The Blast shared that the rocky period followed Stallone's purchase of a rottweiler shortly after their 25th wedding anniversary. 

Although Dwight was intended to be an added protection for their home, the main issue happened when the "Cliffhanger" star got a tattoo of the dog to cover his wife's face. This reportedly irritated the model enough that she filed for a divorce just a day after the ink was seen.

However, what started as a point of contention evolved into something heartwarming as the rottweiler became an integral part of the family, with even his wife growing fond of the canine companion despite her initial reservations about the purchase.
