Minka Kelly Launches A New Jewelry Collection Following Release Of Memoir

Minka Kelly is continuing to tell and share her life story with fans.

The "Tell Me Everything: A Memoir" author and "Friday Night Lights" beauty recently shared her vulnerable life story after the release of her memoir early this month. Kelly, 42, reveals the story of her rocky childhood and teen years involving absent and struggling family members.

The actress continued sharing the extremely personal ode to her family on Tuesday, announcing the launch of her latest jewelry collection, inspired by beloved family members and creative inspirations!

Kelly shared a look at the jewelry and a snapshot of why she created these particular pieces.

In' Tell Me Everything, ' the "Parenthood" actress vulnerably discusses her relationship with her late mother, Maureen.

Maureen was a young mother who made a living as an adult entertainer, and Kelly's father is ex-Aerosmith guitarist Rick Dufay.

The Blast recently shared some insight into Kelly's grief over Maureen's death from cancer in the late 2000s; Kelly was starring in "Friday Night Lights" at the time.

Kelly opens up about her perception of Maureen while growing up; She went into detail in a recent People magazine interview.

"I spent a lot of my youth wishing my mom was something she wasn't, wishing she was like the other moms," Kelly said. "I could only appreciate how special she was when I got older. When it was too late," she adds.

Maureen was diagnosed with colon cancer, and her sickness eventually took her life; Kelly shares the brutal moments of 'Mo's sickness and how she processed losing her mother in her memoir.

An essential part of Kelly's grieving process was to repair her relationship with Maureen. The duo had been estranged, and Kelly had been working on her feelings toward their relationship in therapy. Kelly would later decline her mother's invitation for Thanksgiving, Maureen's favorite holiday; Kelly regrets her actions to this day.

"I was just like, 'Ah, I'll see you for the next one,' knowing there wouldn't be another deep down. And I think about that a lot. That still breaks my heart," Kelly describes her thought process. She cited work as her reason for declining the invitation. (per People, via The Blast)

Kelly's first of two Instagram posts for launching her latest jewelry collection shares insight into the inspiration behind notable pieces.

"Since the loss of my mother, I have wanted to dive deeper into the lives of women around me," Kelly wrote. "It remains so important to me to know that what we do at ABLE directly contributes to jobs and dignity for women worldwide. I'm excited and grateful to release another jewelry collection from the courageous women who work in ABLE's Nashville jewelry studio. "

She continues, "The first piece I designed for this collection was based on one from my grandmother. I want it to remind me that there are many seasons to our lives, and I hope this collection can serve as a reminder for others in the same way. Throughout difficult and joyful times, your loved ones and chosen family will constantly take you through it all."

The launch of Kelly's new jewelry collection arrives less than a week after she commemorated her memoir's place on the New York Times Bestseller list!

"Look, Mom, we're an NYT bestseller! ?✨ ♥️?♥️✨," she wrote in an Instagram post. "Fancy new jacket with NYT bestseller line on it... if there's a reprint of the hardcover, this will be reflected on those new jackets. Wow, who knew? Certainly not me. very thankful."
