Sarah Ferguson is trading her pen for a mic in her latest business gig!
The accomplished author became a member of the royal family following her marriage to Prince Andrew, Duke of York. Although the former couple is no longer an item, the 63-year-old's title as Duchess remains active.
The mother-of-two gained recognition through her humanitarian projects and published books. Now, the media personality is adding to her accomplishments by joining the ever-growing list of celebrity podcasters.
Sarah Ferguson Announces The Launch Of A New Podcast With Her Longtime Friend
In her latest Instagram update, the "Her Heart for a Compass" author revealed she would be getting candid about her life and more in a new business venture, a podcast called "Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah."
Sharing a promotional picture of the upcoming program with her friend and co-host Sarah Thomson, the pair were seen posing in formal attires. The pals donned bright smiles, looking at each other as though sharing a juicy secret.
"It's about time we spiled the tea...our brand new podcast 'Tea Talks with the Duchess and Sarah' is out next week on all streaming platforms," the royal announced in her caption before imploring fans to subscribe using the link on her bio.
The "A Gift of Kindness" author might not have to worry about the launch of her gig as her admirers expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming program. Many noted they were proud of the Duchess of York, while others penned their love for the mother-of-two.
An enthusiastic fan exclaimed," I look forward to it. And it's always so nice to hear you speak so kindly about Harry and Meghan. That's a classy lady that you are."
A fellow supporter wrote: " Absolutely adore all you do and the impact you have xxx." A third follower chimed, "This is going to be great; love listening to your conversations. Good luck, cx."
Sharing more details about the podcast, PEOPLE revealed the program was linked to Viral Tribe Entertainment. Per the show's Spotify profile, the co-hosts claimed they would not shy away from any topic, promising listeners "candid conversations" about their "roller coaster" lives.
"With a cup of tea in hand, each week you'll hear about the week's hot topics as the hosts share their thoughts and perspectives on everyday issues," the page declared. "The duo will also be joined by special guests and share personal insights to listeners' dilemmas."
"These two great friends will approach everything with infectious enthusiasm and a healthy dose of humor. The Duchess and Sarah promise to leave no stone unturned and no biscuit un-dunked," the statement concluded, guaranteeing a fun-filled podcast for fans.
These vows might not be far from the truth as the program's teaser trailer on Spotify captured the co-hosts breaking into fits of laughter. "It's about the highs and lows of everyday life — yours, ours, and anything in the news," Thomson said in the clip, before yelling, "I can't believe you asked me that on the first podcast!"
The Duchess of York is no stranger to the podcast world after appearing on several programs like "City Island PodCast" and "Tea with Twiggy." However, her collaboration with Viral Tribe Entertainment shall be her first hosting gig on the digital platform.
The Humanitarian Proudly Embraced Her 'Royal Rebel' Moniker
Last month, the "A Most Intriguing Lady" author — who joined Meghan Markle as Royal family members with their own podcasts — opened up about her label as the royal family's rebel. During an appearance on "Good Morning Britain," the 63-year-old got candid about her nickname and how she was not ashamed of it.
The mother-of-two confessed that in the past she vehemently denied being a rebel and refused to accept the label. "Shush, no, I’m not a rebel; I’m perfect," the Londoner used to say. However, as she got older, the Children in Crisis founder became comfortable with the moniker.
According to the Duchess, she was okay with the title as she did not mind being "mischievous and cheeky." The discussion about her rebel status came amid the Duchess' lack of invitation to her former brother-in-law's coronation.
Although the humanitarian did not attend the crowning ceremony on May 6, the Freedom of the City of York honoree joined other royal members for the celebratory musical festivities held over the coronation weekend.
Despite being snubbed from King Charles' big day, Ferguson was in good spirits, chatting away with her ex-husband Prince Andrew in their royal box. There the former couple enjoyed spectacular performances from stars like Katy Perry and Lionel Richie.
