Rumer Willis is giving fans a glimpse of her home birth as she marks her first Mother’s Day since welcoming her mini-me.
The beautiful entertainer is best known as the oldest daughter of Hollywood icons Bruce Willis and Demi Moore. Like her famous parents, the 34-year-old has gained recognition in the industry with various accolades under her belt.
The Kentucky native recently followed in her parent’s footsteps as she welcomed her first child, coincidentally a daughter with the singer Derek Richard Thomas. In honor of Mother’s Day, the actress got candid about her challenging delivery.
Rumer Willis Opens Up About Tough Home Birth In Powerful Post

Weeks after welcoming her first child in April, the “Sorority Row” actress joined the world in celebrating Mother’s Day. Taking to her Instagram page, the TV personality commemorated the event with a carousel of stunning images from her home birth.
The photos started with a Polaroid snap of the new mom as a baby with Moore before viewers saw the grown-up pair pushing through the delivery process. Willis, who was submerged in an inflatable pool of water, needed her mother’s support in bringing her child to life.
In the second slide, a black-and-white picture, the Kentucky native looked exhausted, lying in the pool with her eyes closed. Resting on her daughter’s back, the “Striptease” star offered comfort with a warm embrace.
The mother-of-three was seen in the third snap, holding her oldest daughter’s arms and encouraging her to push. Rumer’s face was contorted in pain, her palms pressed together, turning red from the force as she endured the challenging labor.
Given the strenuous process that the “Empire” star seemingly underwent without medication, it was no surprise to see the media personality worn out in her final post. The black-and-white image captured the 34-year-old lying on the blanket-covered ground.

The entertainer looked like the little girl she used to be, holding hands with her mother as she rested. Meanwhile, Moore knelt by her daughter’s side, offering comfort by rubbing her exposed arm.
These touching moments depicted the powerful connection between the mother and child, a bond Willis highlighted in the post’s caption. The “Hostage” actress expressed gratitude for being able to celebrate the Hollywood veteran on Mother’s Day.
The Kentucky native thanked her mom for supporting and guiding her through the “transition from maiden to mother.” The Young Hollywood Award recipient claimed she finally understood the depth of Moore’s adoration for her children thanks to her “endless well of love” for her daughter.
“I am filled with so much joy and gratitude. I have never been so happy in my whole life. I had dreamed of this day since before I was born,” Willis concluded her sweet message to Moore.

The ‘90210’ Star Penned A Passionate Letter To Her Daughter On Mother’s Day
After praising her famous actress mother, the 34-year-old paid tribute to herself for Mother’s Day, in a second post, the “Dancing With The Star’s” season 20 champion shared another carousel of images.
These pictures showed the new mom posing with her daughter Louetta in different scenes, including a nude snap of the pair in a bathtub. Alongside this cute image were photos from the home birth in which Willis received support from her sisters and boyfriend.
In the post’s caption, the TV personality expressed her gratitude and affection for her first child in a lengthy letter. Raving about how motherhood had been a lifelong dream, the entertainer chimed:
“I have waited and dreamed of you my whole life. You are more than I could have ever imagined. You have changed my life in the most profound way. It is the privilege and honor of my life to be your Mother.”

After promising to do “everything and anything” for Louetta, the Kentucky native shared her wishes for the future. Referring to moments depicted in her post, the doting mother hoped her child would always wish to take baths and sleep next to her.
Continuing her gush feast, the “Miss USA” judge revealed that one of the first things she said to the newborn was, “Oh my girl, I missed you,” a statement confirmed by her sister Tallulah Willis.
“Every moment and contraction and every bit of the pain of birth was worth it,” the doting mother declared, claiming that she would do it a “thousand times” to be blessed with a child-like Louetta.

The oldest Willis child also thanked her man Thomas and sisters for their contributions to the little angel’s arrival. “I love you, my girl. You are the greatest joy and gift of my life. Love, your mama,” Willis concluded the touching letter.
