James Harden brought his "good luck charm" to Boston for Game 7 between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics.
John Hao, a Michigan State University shooting survivor, was credited for Harden's fantastic performance and called his "good luck charm" during Game 4. Harden again announced that he needed Hao to be courtside during this NBA Playoff semifinal series.
And for Sunday's game, Hao is courtside once again.

John Hao Was James Harden's Guest At Game 4
When Harden heard about the shooting at MSU earlier this year, he reached out to Hao while recovering in the hospital. Harden sent Hao a pair of his game-worn shoes and some new shoes, donated to his GoFundMe page to help with his medical expenses and called him via FaceTime to help motivate the 20-year-old fan. During their video call chat, Harden promised Hao that he would get him to a game as soon as he felt up to it.
Harden made good on his promise and invited Hao to sit courtside as his guest for Game 4 of the playoff series against the Celtics. After the Sixers beat the Celtics, Harden said he needed his "good luck charm" to be at another game.
"Game 6, he's gotta come back. I don't know what you got going on with your schedule, but for game 6, you have to be back here. Cause you the good luck charm, for real," Harden told Hao.
"We talked about last time, every day, right? Every day is an opportunity to improve mentally, physically, and all, so just keep the right mindset. You know I'm always praying for you, and I always got you."
After game 4, Harden talked about Hao's recovery.
"For a tragedy like that to happen, a lot of nonsense is going on in the world. For him to be a victim of that, it's heartbreaking," Harden said.
"But he's strong; he's bouncing back, he's recovering very well. I feel like it's my job to give him that light, that smile that he deserves, that he needs."
