Proud Mom Iggy Azalea Shows Off Mother's Day Present From 3-Year-Old Son

Sunday, May 14, was Mother's Day in the United States of America, and the internet was awash in throwback images of and tributes to moms and mom figures.

A third set of people opted to celebrate the kids that made them mothers, highlighting the fulfillment that comes with motherhood. One such person was Iggy Azalea, who not only shared a pic of her baby boy, Onyx Kelly, but also showcased the thoughtful gift he gave her in honor of the day.

Undoubtedly, Onyx knows just how special he is to his mother, who has single-handedly raised him since birthing him three years ago. Thus, when Mother's Day rolled around this year, he realized that the best gift for Azalea was a drawing.

The sweet boy had folded a piece of white paper into two halves, writing "Happy Mother's Day" alongside two butterfly arts on the front. Upon opening the DIY card, an illustration of four penguins came alive.

While two penguins played with each other, the others appeared to be playing the guitar, with three round objects adding more color to the drawing. "Love Onyx," the adorable tot inscribed at the bottom.

Before Azalea shared a view of the card on her Instagram Story, she uploaded a monochrome photo of Onyx having a blast on her shoulder. The three-year-old eyes seemed half-closed as he laughed out loud, with his curly locks shining through.

The "Black Widow" hitmaker simply penned, "Happy Mother's Day," along with a white heart emoji, under the picture. As expected, the comment section quickly filled up with the rapper's fans reiterating her sentiment.

"Happy Mother's Day! Hope you're having an amazing day," one fan gushed, as another claimed, "The best mother! our gemini season is coming." A third fan called the Grand Hustle signee a "total beauty," while a fourth declared, "This smile makes numerous people happy." A fifth typed, "Iggy you are such a good mom," and a sixth added, "Congrats for u baby! ?✨ you're a big mom!"

This would not be the first time that Azalea would bask in the abundance of her fans' love as they showed up for her during Onyx's third birthday shenanigans. The two-time American Music Awards winner had shared multiple media from the ceremony on her Instagram Story, beginning with a snapshot of her and the celebrant sitting on a chair's edge. 

Neither mother nor son looked at the camera, with the "Go Hard or Go Home" songstress looking at her baby boy, who was distracted by a balloon string. Although the duo both wore black tops, Onyx paired his with yellow shorts, and his mother opted for black pants with a colorful side design.

The celebratory theme was also seen in the background as various colored balloons filled the space. There were even some silver balloons that spelled out the celebrant's name, while his mother effused in the accompanying overlay:

"Happy 3rd birthday ONYX! I remember a time when I first began swimming bare foot and empty-handed. Now you are my only shoreline."

Azalea has never shied away from marking her son's milestones, whether big or small, on social media. In fact, she recently marked the big occasion of Onyx's first day as a preschooler with an adorable pic dropped on her Instagram Story.

The Blast noted that the snap showed the 32-year-old Australian's mini-me donning a three-tiered tie-dye two-piece, white socks, and a pair of matching sneakers. The boy, who also had an equally colorful backpack, looked excited about this new phase, raising his hands and smiling from ear to ear.

His doting mom pulled his usually afro-style hair into braids, finishing with green, yellow, and red beads at its tips. The giddy Azalea wrote in the text overlay, "My baby's first day of preschool, and I just can't take it…!!!"

Fans have become accustomed to Azalea openly showing affection for her son since June 2020, when she announced that she had welcomed a child. The artist, who had previously denied pregnancy speculations, shares Onyx with her estranged lover and fellow rapper Playboi Carti.
