Meadow Walker is following in the footsteps of her late father, Paul Walker, and honoring his legacy with what he loved the most.
Fans of the "Fast & Furious" franchise said a heartbreaking goodbye to the beloved actor in November 2013 after he died in a single-vehicle collision accident. At the time, he was filming "Fast & Furious 7" but didn't complete it.
While the franchise has gone on to successfully release two more sequels after Paul's passing, its tenth sequel, "Fast X," is due for release later this month, and Meadow did well to celebrate her dad's impact in a heartwarming way.
Meadow Walker Honors Her Dad With 'Fast X' Cameo
The 24-year-old, who has successfully built her brand in the modeling industry, decided to spread her wings to accommodate her acting skills with a sweet tribute to her late father.
Walker took to her Instagram account to tease a scene from her role in the upcoming 2023 "Fast X" movie that would hit the cinemas on May 19. In the posted image, the model appeared on a plane with other unidentified individuals cast for the scene.
She looked chic, dressed in a Royal blue suit, while her jet-black bob was styled into a center part. The blue-eyed beauty accessorized her outfit by wearing silver earrings.
Opening up about the post, she penned, "A preview of my cameo in Fast X. The first fast was released when I was one year old! I grew up on set watching my father, Vin, Jordana, Michelle, Chris, and more on the monitors.
Appreciating her late dad for paving the way for her, she added, "Thanks to my dad, I was born into the Fast family. I can't believe now I get to be up there too. With those who have been around to see me grow up."
She continued, "Thank you, @louisleterrierpro, for your kindness, patience, and support. It feels like you've been part of the family since we started; I'm happy it's just the beginning."
Walker also appreciated her dad's best friend, "@bbirtell," who she revealed is now her best friend. She sweetly concluded, "I am so blessed to be able to honor my father's legacy and share this with him forever x. I love you all so much."
As expected, her fans and friends trooped into her comments section to encourage and praise the model. An essential character in the film and a friend of her late father, Vin Diesel, expressed his delight by adding a folded hand emoji.
Meanwhile, a fan gushed, "OMG!!! This is so emotional. Thanks to Paul Walker, we've all become lovers of cars and Fast and Furious… Paul is so proud of you, Meadow ❤."
Another excitedly inquired, "Wait, WHAT!!! YOU'RE IN THE MOVIE?!!!!" To which Walker replied, "SURPRISE!!!!" A third fan commented, "I am sure he is super proud of you, and we are too. We love you so much, Meadow! Sending you all the love ❤❤❤❤ @meadowwalker."
"I love this for you!! You deserve it & I know he is looking down proud 💗💗,' declared another. Walker's revelation of her appearance in the upcoming film comes after SCREENRANT reported that Michelle Rodriguez, who plays Letty Ortiz in the franchise, disclosed her feelings about working alongside the model.
According to the "Fast & Furious" actress, she felt that the "blessing" from the Walker family was a necessity for the shooting of the movie.
She says, "It's tough to move on without a blessing from that family because it's everything… Without the kind of love from Meadow and Cody [Walker] and the family, we would be slightly lost."
It is not surprising that Meadow appeared in the movie, as her late father was loved by the cast members in the franchise beyond their time on-screen. Additionally, the cast members remained close to the Walker family and even showed up for the model's wedding in the Dominican Republic.
Meadow Performs This Tradition In Remembrance Of Her Late Dad
Aside from honoring the late "Takers" actor by following in his footsteps, the model also keeps her father's memory alive by observing a beautiful tradition she came up with.
Per The Blast, the California native revealed how she commemorated her father's remembrance day while attending the Wall Street Journal's annual Innovator Awards Ceremony.
Looking gorgeous at the event, Walker donned a body-hugging brown dress that boasted ruched patterns and possessed a stomach cut-out that revealed the model's flat tummy and accentuated her slender frame.
Strutting down the carpet to showcase her glamorous outfit, the model stopped her parade to talk about her beloved father.
She revealed that she retained precious memories like the late actor's voice based on the movies he's acted in. She said, "They always say the first thing you forget about someone is their voice, so I'm fortunate enough to have his voice in many movies."
As for how she honored her father's memory: "I like to watch [his movies] at night, it brings me joy to talk about him and keep his spirit alive.
