Paul Walker’s Family Is Involved
Seeing as a few parts of the movie are set “in the past”, Walker’s family is involved specifically, his brother who has stood in for his brother in the past, shortly after his death. As for how Paul’s character will appear in the film, the whole family was in on that decision.

Walker appeared in six of the Fast films before his sudden passing from a fiery car crash at age 40. He has since been featured in CGI shots with his younger brother standing in. Co-stars like Tyrese and Vin Diesel has also been instrumental in keeping the actor’s memory alive.
