Jimmie Allen has been hit with a sexual assault lawsuit from a former management team member.
Although it has not been 48 hours since the singer and his pregnant wife, Alexis Gale, officially filed for divorce, he has been accused of sexually abusing and harassing the unidentified individual for nearly two years. The harrowing update comes barely a month after Gale stopped following Allen on social media.
Jimmie Allen Has Been Accused Of Repeatedly Raping A Former Day-To-Day Manager
According to the lawsuit filed on Thursday, Allen had forcefully taken the virginity of the former manager — who identified herself as Jane Doe — during a March 2021 work trip to Los Angeles.
Per her claims, she had woken up naked in her hotel room with vaginal bleeding and severe pain after a business dinner, with no recollection of what happened. The plaintiff added that the "Best Shot" vocalist had insisted on her taking a Plan B pill after the alleged incident to prevent pregnancy, recounting:
"I was disconnected from my body, feeling a sense of panic. He held me in place. At that point, any physical will was just out the door. I was pretty much paralyzed."
The woman also inserted a list of other instances of her former boss sexually abusing her, including repeatedly raping and groping her and videotaping them having sex. Allen has since denied the allegations, writing in a statement to PEOPLE:
"It is deeply troubling and hurtful that someone I counted as one of my closest friends, colleagues, and confidants would make allegations that have no truth to them whatsoever."
The Grammy Awards nominee then divulged that their relationship had been consensual, noting that his accuser had attempted to extort money from him after their affair ended.
While the "Freedom Was a Highway" singer's statement has calmed a few people down, it made others wonder if his soon-to-be ex-wife had gotten wind of his alleged wrongdoing and proactively unfollowed him on social media.
ICYMI, The Blast observed that the mother-of-two had removed herself from his list of followers last month. The trained nurse initially posted a cryptic message on her Instagram Story, writing, "The silence is loud enough for me," before unfollowing him. As details about the former lovebirds continue to emerge, it is worth noting that Allen informed fans of the hiccup in his union in an update that read:
"After much thought and reflection in recent months, Lex & I have decided to separate. As we navigate this life change, we can also share that we will welcome another child later this year."
Sources close to the pair, who share two daughters — Naomi Bettie and Zara James — disclosed that they mutually decided to part ways in January after facing a rocky phase in their marriage. The Milton, Delaware natives both filed for divorce on April 28, additionally listing it as their official date of separation.
The paperwork saw Allen seeking joint custody of their daughters, while his wife wants them to live primarily with her. The 37-year-old country singer, who also has an eight-year-old son from a previous relationship, noted in the docs:
"Wife would show that it is in the best interest of the parties' minor children that wife be named the primary residential parent of the parties' minor children with reasonable parenting time for husband upon the divorce of the parties to this cause."

During their better days as a couple, Allen had celebrated the birth of their second child on Saturday, October 16, 2021, after surprisingly postponing his North Carolina concert due to a "family emergency." The "Make Me Want To" singer later shared a baby emoji on his Instagram Story, confirming the arrival of Zara James.
The "This Is Us" hitmaker and Gale publicly unveiled that they were expecting the adorable baby girl in June 2021 with a slew of Instagram pictures of the latter showing off her baby bump. In one image, she poses with her stepson, Aadyn, while her first child holds a pregnancy test.
Later that month, Allen confessed that he and the Margarate H. Rollins School of Nursing alum were on opposing sides regarding their daughter's name. In the Broken Bow Records signee's words:
"I want to name her Arya Stark Allen because I'm a huge Game of Thrones fan, but Lex ain't lettin' that happen!"
