Celebrity couple Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have once again made headlines after a video went viral, showing what appears to be a tense moment between them.
The short clip shows Affleck opening the car door for the singer after a coffee run in Los Angeles on Tuesday. However, after the "Let's Get Loud" singer gets into the vehicle, Affleck slams the car door in a way that has left tongues wagging about his mood.
According to Page Six, social media users quickly reacted to the incident, with one person tweeting, "Ohh sh*t! That's Ben Affleck visibly irritated slamming that door on Jennifer Lopez. Ufff". Another user commented on Twitter, "He purposely looks away from her while she's getting in the car. They're fighting, lol."
Fans Blame Paparazzi For Ben Affleck's 'Miserable' Mood
Despite the tense moment caught on camera, not everyone is convinced that Affleck and Lopez have relationship issues. Per Page Six, some fans believe that the paparazzi may be to blame for Affleck's apparent irritation in the viral video.
A fan pointed out, "I think they saw the cameraman when walking toward the car. He's right there. Jen keeps her head down, and Ben is naturally irritated as he motions to the cameraman at the end. When you're famous, not a minute of privacy should be the headline."
Another fan agreed, saying, "Dude, he's pissed off. He's being filmed. Again."
Despite this incident, the couple appeared to be in good spirits at the Los Angeles premiere of Lopez's new movie, "The Mother," on Wednesday. Although they were caught in what appeared to be a tense conversation, they later happily posed for photographers, giggled, and even shared a cute kiss.
Ben Affleck & Jennifer Lopez At The 2023 Grammys
In February, the "Gigli" co-stars were in the spotlight after a video from the 2023 Grammys showed Lopez appearing to order a miserable-looking Affleck around.
However, Affleck later clarified that the situation was just a joke between him and his wife. Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter, the "Deep Water" star explained that when he saw the camera crew "framing" them in the shot, he told Lopez, "As soon as they start rolling, I'm going to slide away from you and leave you sitting next to Trevor."
He added, "She goes, 'You better f**king not leave.' That's a husband-and-wife thing. I mean, some of it is. I'm like, 'All right, who is this act?'"
'I Have A Very Unhappy-Looking Resting Face'
The "Argo" director made light of his severe facial expressions, even joking about it on late-night talk shows. "Listen, I have a very unhappy-looking resting face," Affleck told Jimmy Kimmel last March.
"This is me content," he added, as his face dropped blankly. He then made a serious-looking gesture and said, "This is me, amused. That's how God made me. You don't have to punish me for it."
The Oscar winner and Lopez began dating in the early 2000s after meeting on the set of "Gigli" and got engaged in 2002. The power couple eventually broke up two years later due to intense media scrutiny of their relationship. Both ended up marrying other stars, Marc Anthony and Jennifer Garner, and having kids.
It wasn't until 2021, after their divorces, the couple rekindled their love. They got engaged for a second time in April 2022 and had a private wedding in Las Vegas that July, followed by a lavish ceremony in Georgia last August.
