Actor Justin Long and his fiancée Kate Bosworth have become the "ultimate couple," at least according to Long's ex, Drew Barrymore.
In a clip from Thursday's episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show," Drew teased that she and Kate had "a very important person in common," referring to the 44-year-old actor. Drew and Justin dated on-and-off from 2007 to 2010.

In a short Twitter clip teasing Thursday's episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show," Drew displayed photos of Justin and Kate together on the big screen. "My very dear old friend Justin Long — a boyfriend, a dear friend — and he and Kate have found each other in this world," Drew said.
"[You've] become this incredibly joyous, bonded, real deal; you holding hands, ultimate couple you root for," Drew told the "Blue Crush" actress. "Period."
"That's so sweet," Kate replied, before going on to say, "He loves you so much. He just loves you so deeply."
Kate Bosworth Was 'Excited' When Justin Was Asked To Appear On 'The Drew Barrymore Show'
Justin Long previously appeared on "The Drew Barrymore Show" for its season 3 premiere last September. At the time, Kate said that she told Justin, "You have to do it." The two were not engaged at the time, but Kate said that she was "excited" for Justin to get the opportunity to appear on his ex's show.
"I was with him when he got the ask and he's like, 'Oh, Drew wants me to go on her show,' and I was like, 'You have to do it!' I was so excited," Kate told Drew.
"I was so excited, because I knew there's so much love between the two of you," she explained. "So much, yes fun and like wild— I always say you guys were in the tornado together, right? It's like the time in your life when you're like, 'I want to feel and I want to do everything,' just like be a part of the adventure in a wild way, which is so much fun. He just loves you so much."
During that appearance, the two admitted that they did create some "fun chaos" together, although they describe their rollercoaster relationship as "more hedonistic" and "more immature" than what they were ultimately looking for in a partner.
Justin and Kate Confirmed Their Engagement In April
Rumors that the couple were engaged started swirling after it looked like Kate was wearing a ring on that finger during the Vanity Fair Oscar's after party, which the couple attended together. In April, Justin confirmed that they were getting ready to tie the knot on an April episode of his Life is Short podcast.
Although the "Accepted" actor revealed that he did have something big planned for the proposal, he explained that he asked her to marry him in a much more "organic" way.
“I did have a special thing planned around [Kate’s] birthday and about a month before that, life, like we were talking about, things change, and sometimes they change pretty drastically without any warnings,” Justin said while talking to Kate on the episode of his podcast.
“It was a moment where it just felt so organic and it felt connected to something very, very deeply, profoundly personal that we were going through, like, a real-life change, and so it came out in a very organic way,” he added.
“[The therapist] gave us a really great piece of advice which was: ‘Make sure that you’re pretty consistently asking the other what you need, or asking the other what they need,’” Kate explained, saying that she later asked Justin what he needed when the two were in private.
“And he, like, really looked at me and he said, ‘To spend my life with you,’ and I smiled and I said, ‘Well, yeah, you have that. Oh my gosh, you have that,’ and he said, ‘No, I mean I really want to spend my life with you,’” she recalled, with the couple noting that the “organic” proposal just “spilled out.”
Kate finalized her divorce from director Michael Polish in March, only one month before she and Justin confirmed their engagement. The two had been married from 2013 to 2021.
