Bravo Housewives Gather Around Guerdy Abraira Amid Cancer Diagnosis

Real Housewives of Miamicast member Guerdy Abraira’s cast membersare rallying behind her after revealing her cancer battle.

The event planner extraordinaire is battling the big C while filming the popular reality show. It was announced a few weeks back that the women are filming again, and judging by Abraira’s statement, they could have been on the cast trip!

“In March, I found out some news about my health. I was in St. Barts having the time of my life when my doctor called me with results following a regular mammogram checkup,” she shared in her statement.

“I have breast cancer. It took me a while to process it all, which is why I took a break from social media last month, as many noticed. Many of you reached out to check on me, and I am thankful for your caring gestures.”

She thanked those around her who have reached out and continue to support her through this tough time. She says, “I will “guernsey” this cancer as I guernsey everything else in my life.”

The reality star’s friends and Bravo family have showered her with messages of love and support. Real Housewives of Potomac’s Candiace Dillard wrote, “Guerdy, thank you for sharing this with us! Sending you so much love and healing❤️.”

Her co-star Wendy Osefo followed her up, “Sending you prayers and strength.” Shahs of Sunset alum GG Gharachedaghi wrote, “Girl, you better Guerdyfyyyy!!!! Lots of love and light for you, sis. We know how strong-willed you are so we will add to your strength with our prayers and love.”

Guerdy’s cast members showed love as well. “Praying for you ??,” wrote Larsa Pippen. Kiki Barth added, “❤️❤️❤️ Praying for you, babe; you got this ??.” Marysol Patten was there for her too. “Awe Guerdy, I love you ❤️ you’ve got this ?,” she wrote.

Dr. Nicole Martin offered comfort, “You got this girl… We got this.” Adriana D’Moura wrote, “????? I will be there for you. You are strong, and you will win this battle.” And her sidekick, Julia Lemigova, whose own partner just battled cancer wrote, “We are here for you ❤️??”

Abraira implored her followers to take care of themselves constantly. “For those who do not get health checks regularly, I urge you to. Your life depends on it.” Luckily for her, she has routine mammograms and caught hers early.

Guerdy has been married to her husband, Russell Abraira, for over 20 years, and she is a mom to two boys Miles, 14, and Liam, 9. Guerdy has suitable friends/co-workers to help her with this trying diagnosis.

Nicole is an anesthesiologist, and while her focus isn’t cancer, she can help Guerdy navigate her diagnosis in other ways. Julia, as mentioned above, revealed two months ago that her wife, tennis star Martina Navratilova is cancer-free.

She can help her navigate their experience and offer comfort when Guerdy is scared and unsure, which will happen during this time.
