Paulina Porizkova Shares Some ‘Deep Thoughts’ About Her New Relationship

Model Paulina Porizkova is opening up on her new relationship with "Will & Grace" showrunner Jeff Greenstein.

Although the couple has only been together for a few months, the two have deleted their dating apps and seem focused on committing to each other. In a recent reflection that she posted on social media, the author of "No Filter: The Good, The Bad, and The Beautiful," reflected on the support she received from her new relationship and the lessons that she learned about herself in the process.

On Tuesday, the “Anna” actress took to Instagram to share a photo of her lying on her back in the green grass. The Eiffel Tower can be seen in the background and Paulina looks appropriately dressed in a black and white striped shirt and red polka dot ascot. It looks like she’s deep in thought, and it’s clear that she has put a lot of thought into her latest relationship.

"I’ve gotten so much support from you all when I went public with my new love. And quite a few comments like 'you give me hope'. While I’m delighted to provide anything - especially hope- the meeting someone special and falling in love wasn’t with a wave of a magical wand - it was the result of really hard work," Paulina began. "I’ve spent the last three years being single and getting over the belief I was not worthy of love. I had been told I was too needy. Too crazy. Or alternatively, too cold and critical."

"Part of this 'getting over the wrong beliefs' was what many call learning to love yourself. Honestly, I don’t love myself any more or less than I have always done. But I understand myself a whole lot better," she explained. "What I 'wanted' - excitement - was also made my 'picker' always go for the wrong person. The excitement and drama of being told I was the only person that mattered in the whole universe only to be ignored and pushed away. And then be reeled back in."

"This cycle kept recurring, because this is what I knew as a child. So I fell for men who would reinforce this dynamic. Men who told me they loved me on a third date, and then backed off as soon as I tried to park in their space. It wasn’t until I identified my behavior and the consequences, that I could open my heart to something new," she continued. "What I wanted was a familiar thrill. The drama. But what I needed was the opposite. An unfamiliar peace."

"An unfamiliar peace that feels even more exciting for the novelty of satisfying what I’ve needed all along. Which is real connection. To feel understood," she went on. "We all need that. We all deserve it. But we can only get it by the hard work of introspection and vulnerability. And that’s when the magic happens."
