“The Bachelor” star Arie Luyendyk Jr. has finally tied the knot.
The 37-year-old former race car driver wed 27-year-old Lauren Burnham on Saturday in Hawaii. According to Us Weekly, the couple exchanged vows in front of 100 guests at Haiku Mill in Maui.
Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici were among the guests and, fittingly, “Bachelor” host Chris Harrison officiated the ceremony.
Luyendyk told Us, “Ever since we’ve gotten together, we wanted to fast-forward to this day.”
The couple’s path to a wedding was one of the bumpiest in “Bachelor” history.
In the season finale of his season, Luyendyk actually proposed to Becca Kufrin, not Burnham. But he later had a change of heart, broke things off with Kufrin and proposed to Burnham during the live “After the Final Rose” special last March.
In proposing, Luyendyk said, “I made some bad decisions but the best decision was running back to you … I truly believe are my soulmate. I’m ready to face this life with you and all that comes with it. I love you so much. I wanted to do this in front of everyone because I want to show you that I should have done this a long time ago.”
