Late WWE Wrestler Sara Lee Died By Suicide, Left Behind 'Letters Of Intent'

The official autopsy of late WWE Wrestler Sara Lee has confirmed her cause of death as suicide. The documents state that Sara had high levels of alcohol, amphetamines, and doxylamine in her system.

According to previous reports, Sara's family suspected alcohol was a significant factor in her death. Her mom, Terri Lee, announced Sara's passing in a Facebook post last year to the shock of fans of the wrestler.

Sara left behind her husband, Cory James Weston (known professionally as Westin Blake), and three young kids, Piper, Brady, and Case. Blake shared a tribute to his late wife on Instagram, calling her an "angel walking on this earth."

An official autopsy report from the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office has confirmed Sara Lee's cause of death. The autopsy report, obtained by NBC News, revealed that the former pro-wrestler died by suicide.

The documents state that Sara had lethally high levels of alcohol and pills in her body and had also taken amphetamines and doxylamine. Sara's body also had bruising on her head and body parts, which were also examined during the autopsy.

The report notes that falls during intoxication may have caused the bruises. According to TMZ, Sara also had "letters of intent" left behind at the place where her body was found.

During a March interview with People Magazine, a source shared that Sara's family suspected alcohol to be a significant factor in her passing. They revealed that the wrestler was "heavily drinking [the night she died]" and that her body was found by her husband, Cory James Weston.

The source said, "He [Westin] had just returned from working in Orlando. He took the kids somewhere and came back and found her. It was sudden." They also explained that Sara wasn't ever "that person you would think would do this." The insider added that "there were never any signs" to Weston or any of her family.

In October, Sara's mom, Terri Lee, shocked the world by announcing her daughter's death in a Facebook post. She expressed that their whole family was "in shock" about Sara's passing and were working on funeral arrangements. However, the post did not mention the circumstances of Sara's death.

Terri wrote, "It is with heavy hearts we wanted to share that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus. We are all in shock, and arrangements are not complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn. We all need prayers, especially [Sara's husband] Cory and her children."

Following the news of her passing, WWE shared a post paying tribute to Sara. It read, "WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of Sara Lee. As a former "Tough Enough" winner, Lee inspired many in the sports-entertainment world. WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and fans."

With her death, Sara left behind her husband and three kids, five-year-old Piper, three-year-old Brady, and 14-month-old Case. Weston is also a pro wrestler like Sara and fights under the ring name Westin Blake.

Blake shared an emotional tribute letter to his wife on Instagram a few days after her death. In the post, the pro-wrestler called Sara an "angel walking on this earth" and shared that he'd loved her from their first moments together. He described Sara as "beautiful, compassionate, strong, and so loving."

Blake further wrote that Sara blessed him with "3 of the most beautiful children I could imagine." He shared that she was more than just a mother and was also a "motivator, a best friend, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, the backbone of our family, and (my favorite), my wife."

He also wrote that despite losing her, death would never erase the beautiful memories they'd created during their time together. Blake wrapped the tribute with, "I can't promise I will stop grieving, but I know now that you're free. I can't thank you enough for giving me the best years of my life so far."
