The family of Sara Lee, professional WWE wrestler, and mother of three, recently revealed that the 30-year-old passed away. Sara joined WWE in 2015 after finishing as one of the two winners in the "Tough Enough" season six competition.

Prior to the news of her death, the 30-year-old posted a picture of herself on Instagram where she mentioned her sinus infection, but otherwise, Sara looked as healthy as one could be. She also revealed her intention to head back to the gym.

Sara's family's statement concerning her passing did not mention the cause of her death; however, they asked for privacy from the public. WWE, as well as a number of her colleagues, took to social media to comment on her passing.

Sara's mother, Terri Lee, took to Facebook to announce that her 30-year-old daughter had passed away. The post was made on Thursday and didn't disclose the circumstances behind the passing; however, Terri revealed that funeral arrangements were yet to be complete and still underway.

She wrote in the Facebook post, "It is with heavy hearts we wanted to share that our Sara Weston has gone to be with Jesus. We are all in shock, and arrangements are not complete. We ask that you respectfully let our family mourn. We all need prayers, especially [husband] Cory and her children."

The retired pro wrestler left behind her husband, Cory James Weston, and her three children, five-year-old Piper, Brady, three, and Case, 14 months old. Weston, like his wife, was a part of the WWE and performed under the alias Wesley Blake.

Sara gained fame in the wrestling world after winning season six of the famous "Tough Enough" competition series. Due to the win, the mother of three became an NXT wrestler after securing a one-year $250,000 contract with WWE.

The 30-year-old made her last post on her social media account on October 4, revealing that she was feeling healthy enough to continue working out after her brush with a sinus infection. The picture posted was her in front of a bathroom mirror, looking quite fit. The post was captioned, "Celebrating finally being healthy enough to go to the gym 2 days in a row first ever sinus infection kicked my butt #Saraselfie #gains."

Several of Sara's co-wrestlers reacted in surprise at her death and reached out to the aggrieved family to comfort them. WWE also released a statement asking that fans keep her family in their prayers.

In a recent Twitter post, WWE paid tribute to Sara and described her as an inspiration to several people who were a part of the sports entertainment industry. The post read, "WWE is saddened to learn of the passing of Sara Lee. As a former 'Tough Enough' winner, Lee served as an inspiration to many in the sports-entertainment world. WWE offers its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and fans."

Several of the 30-year-old's co-workers also took to Twitter to express their condolences. Alexis Cabrera, more professionally known as Alexa Bliss, posted a picture of Sara on her Twitter. "We love you, Sara. So heartbreaking," the wrestler wrote. "Please keep Cory & their family in your thoughts and prayers."

Sara's fellow "Tough Enough" competitor, Daria Rae Berenato, also known as Sonya Deville, revealed that the loss was "absolutely heart breaking." She continued, "Life is too short. Sara was awesome, sending love and prayers to her family and loved ones."

Sara Lee's WWE Colleague Launched A GoFundMe

In order to help the three children and husband Lara left behind, the 30-year-old's WWE colleague Bull James launched a campaign to raise money. While the campaign goal was set at $20,000, it surpassed the target and reeled in over $50,000.

The GoFundMe campaign description read, "We're all shocked and saddened by the sudden death of Tough Enough winner Sara Lee. As her loving husband, Cory picks up the pieces and continues to raise their 3 children, the last thing anyone in that position wants to be worried about is money and paying for a funeral and everything else that comes along with it."

It continued, "The wrestling community has always been one to come together in the wake of tragedy, and this is no different." James, via the description, concluded by explaining that the amount raised would be given to Sara's husband and children and thanked the contributors.
