Simone Biles & Husband Jonathan Owens Jet Off To Destination Wedding: 'We're Off'

Simone Biles & Jonathan Owens are on their way to tie the knot for the second time but in a more elaborate way!

The sweethearts, who first married legally in the USA, have departed to attend their destination wedding in a location that the couple hasn't yet revealed.  

The Olympic medalist, who usually engages her fans on social media, updated them on the process leading up to their departure on Thursday for their destination wedding. Biles took to her Instagram Story to post a series of clips, showing herself and her new husband enjoying themselves on their way to their mystery location. 

The gymnast shared glimpses as she and her beau headed to the airport in a luxe Sprinter van. In one of the clips, Owens looked dapper, dressed in a black hoodie and matching sweatpants paired with a pair of white & black sneakers. 

The new wife captioned the post, writing, "& we're off @jowens ??." Meanwhile, the following clip revealed the stunning athlete beside her handsome man.

She donned a white hoodie and matching sweatpants and had her black tresses styled into a center part. Appearing very excited about their destination wedding, she had a big smile plastered on her face. Celebrating their moment together as a newly married couple, the lovebirds sipped champagne and cheered at their new beginning.

Biles and Owens continued their celebration at the airport as the gymnast toasted to her uncle Paul, who would be their officiating minister at their second wedding.

Biles revealed in the caption, "Uncle Paul, aka gonna be the best officiant y'all have ever seen." The gymnast shared a snap with her followers to reveal that the couple had landed safely at their destination. She posted a picture of Owens dressed in a white and dark-colored T-shirt, enjoying the sunny blue skies. 

The Olympic medalist previously allowed her fans to know more details about the upcoming destination wedding. Biles granted her fans an audience via her Instagram Story during a Q&A session with them.

During this session, she informed her fans about one of her extensive rules regarding her big ceremony. It happened that a fan made a request that read, "Ask any of your wedding guests if they need a plus one. I love wedding season." 

Responding to this request, she categorically specified that she did not want new faces bobbing around on her special day.

In Biles' words, "Unfortunately, since we wanted it to be as intimate as possible, we did not allow plus 1's. I know this is so controversial, but I'm always meeting people on a day-to-day basis & I love that & you all, but on my wedding day, I didn't want to meet any new people."

However, she made an exception for some individuals who mattered to her. When another fan asked if some "gym reunions," meaning her Olympic teammates, would be invited to the wedding, she excitedly wrote, "YES."As for the color theme of the wedding, Biles, without hesitation, revealed that it was "champagne, gold, white." 

More importantly, another follower asked, "How many more dresses will we see"? She replied, "4 ?. Dramatic, but you only have a wedding once."

It is no wonder that the artistic gymnast wants only her friends and family at her destination wedding, seeing how vile and unpleasant strangers can be!

Per The Blast, Biles came under fire for rocking her natural hair at her courthouse wedding, to the extent that trolls took to Twitter to shame the Olympic medalist.

The unkind individual penned, "She gone wear this nappy ass ponytail till she dies damn." While a fellow hater agreed, adding, "She could at least get a lace front for her wedding."

However, a fan of Biles wasn't having any of the mean remarks and slammed the critics, writing, "Simone Biles is one of THEE top gymnasts we've ever seen, has overcome situations of abuse and other obstacles in her childhood, has defined her success and found love and is now happily married…And you all worried about her hair….?!" 

Impressed by her supporter's remark, Biles replied to her fan's tweet and clapped back at her critics. 

She wrote, "I think they also forget I live in Houston, Texas & I sweat those out!! Soon as we stepped outside for the pics." She added, "But they can keep complaining idc idc idc."
