Jeremy Renner has shared a new resolution about his miraculous recovery!
The 52-year-old "Mayor Of Kingstown" star informed his followers of his determination to "push through the pain" as he continues his physical therapy sessions. The update comes just a few weeks after his first public appearance on the red carpet since his near-fatal snow-plowing accident earlier this year.
Jeremy Renner Is Determined To Make Full Recovery Despite His Pain
Although Renner miraculously survived being crushed by a 14,000-pound snow plow, he suffered severe injuries, including over 30 broken bones. Since then, the "Mission Impossible" alum has taken to sharing his recovery process with his 20 million followers, often uploading content of his daily exercises to Instagram.
In his latest post, the beloved movie star dropped a video that showcased him running through a series of warm-up styles with the help of two exercise ropes attached to a large piece of equipment. He donned a black face cap, a matching long-sleeved hoodie, gray shorts, and multi-colored gym shoes for the moment.
He moved from side to side, leaned back, and threw in a squat before he turned to look at the camera and end the video. Despite the shortness of it, the "28 Weeks Later" actor explained that he had a goal in the caption, writing:
"UPDATE: I've decided to push through the pain of progress (this damn shattered tibia) and take the new parts for a tiny test drive. The body is miraculous...Even though I feel like the Tin Man, needing oil for all my new joints (hips, knees, ankles, tibia etc). Encouraged after this warm up to press on (don't tell my PT)."
Within the first few hours of posting, the clip got over 2.5 million views, with 412k people double-tapping it. The comment section was equally filled with sweet sentiments from fans and celebs who wanted to see him return to tip-top shape without any more problems.
"Good for you, but please don't overdo it. You're making such amazing progress - don't want to jeopardize that," one fan stated. A second netizen reiterated, "Looking great! Just don't push TOO hard and end up causing more damage!!"
A third supporter declared, "You are doing amazingly well, but remember to give yourself grace and don't overdo it. Rome was not built in a day!" Meanwhile, actor Ryan Reynolds exclaimed, "That's the stuff!!! ❤️❤️❤️," and Josh Brolin simply dropped a slew of emojis, like party poppers and thunderbolts.
Rachel Leigh Cook added, "!!! Making a case for miracles over here," while Michelle Monaghan proclaimed, "You're remarkable! Get it, brother!! ❤️❤️❤️.”
Amid having such a supportive group with him, Renner recently highlighted one person that stood out in his recovery journey. As it turned out, that individual was his daughter, Ava Berlin, whom he shares with his ex-wife and Canadian model, Sonni Pacheco.
The doting dad showed off one of the ways that the ten-year-old has motivated him since his accident through his Instastories last month. The Blast noted that the "Rennervations" creator uploaded a picture of a post-it note his baby girl left on a mirror in his Reno, Nevada house.
The note, which read "Hi Beautiful" alongside a heart and smiley face, accompanied the words, "My daughter inspires Me… What inspires you ??" in the text overlay. A second Story featured another note that Ava placed on gym equipment, instructing the "Wind River" actor to "Just keep running. Just keep running." He wrote, "She leaves me post-it notes all over To keep me going !!" above the zoomed-in message.
Co-Star Hailee Steinfeld Applauded The "Dahmer" Star For His Dedication
Since the details of Renner's accident became public, several colleagues have expressed gratitude for his full recovery. One of them was Hailee Steinfeld, who claimed that she was "so grateful" to hear that the "Main Attractions" singer "has made a truly miraculous recovery" during an interview last month.
The "True Grit" actress, who also stars in "Hawkeye," then delved into the relationship she shares with her co-star, claiming:
"I mean, I go back to thinking about how excited I was just to meet him, and then I realized very quickly — I can't believe I'm going to admit this, but much like Kate Bishop is to Clint, I am that way with Jeremy," she explained.
Steinfeld further praised Renner for being the "most inspiring" and "amazing" person she has met, indicating that she holds him in high regard.
