The 55-year actor is still undergoing tests, although he is "awake" and has no issues with his cognitive abilities.

"He's OK, thank God," a source told People about the actor's health scare last Friday. "He's still in the hospital, and doctors are running tests, but he's awake and alert. They're keeping him under observation."

Despite Foxx being seemingly out of the woods, his family has remained mute about the nature of his medical emergency, perhaps not wanting it to become tabloid fodder.

Foxx's health scare comes in the wake of reports that he had "had an absolute meltdown" while the film was shooting in the UK last month.

The incident reportedly led to the firing of several crew members, including an executive producer, two directors, and the actor's own driver.

According to The Sun, a source said about the drama: "There have been some issues on set, and Jamie has had a major meltdown over it all."

"He demanded the problems be sorted immediately and sacked four of the production staff — as if that would magically improve the situation."

The source added, "Some people working on it are totally fed up with how this has played out, and Jamie has become pretty unpopular."

Foxx started filming his upcoming movie in December alongside Cameron, whom he convinced to make an acting comeback after her retirement in 2018.

The Oscar winner had announced mid-last year that he managed to bring Cameron back, to work with her for a third time after they shared the set on "Annie" and "Any Given Sunday."

"When this project came along, and she was pursued by Jamie Foxx, who she has known and worked with for years, she decided to go for it," a source said about the collaboration, per People.

Other cast members include Kyle Chandler and Glenn, who joined in November 2022. In addition, Andrew Scott, Jamie Demetriou, McKenna Roberts, and Rylan Jackson were signed up in February this year.

While the movie will be released on Netflix, the debut date is still unknown, although it is expected that filming was wrapped up last month.
