Jared Leto seems to have a penchant for head(s). After strutting into the 2019 Met Gala with his "head" in his hand, thanks to Gucci, he paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld's cat, Choupette, in a "cat suit" this time and made the furry head his head accessory. Did we say head too many times?

Fans' reactions are predictably tickled, so here goes Jared Leto as Choupette.

Why did Leto dress up as Choupette, Karl Lagerfeld's cat?

One Instagram user offered the ultimate explanation: "For those who are not understanding, Karl Lagerfeld used to have a cat; he loved her so much, to the point that he left almost all his fortune on her. So, that's REALLY ACCORDING TO THE THEME."

Of course, when a celebrity walks in dressed as a life-size cat with no clue as to their identity, other celebs become a little confused as they come in for a meet and greet. The same happened to Lizzo, who looked adorably bewildered as she hugged a cat taller than her, mouthing "Who is this?" before someone told her it was Leto.

Fans loved the exchange, and Leto left Anne Hathaway blown away!

Does Jared Leto Have A Penchant For Heads?

This is not Leto's first decision that a head would make a good accessory. At the 2019 Met Gala, Leto strolled in carrying a life-size replica of his head, making for quite the shocking entry. This time, it's Choupette's head which he later lugged around after he changed into a black ensemble replete with a cape. With his sun-bleached locks and dark kohl-lined eyes, LEto made quite the statement.

Given that he will be playing Karl Lagerfeld in an upcoming biopic, it's no surprise that Leto understood the assignment, as he gave the ultimate nod to Karl Lagerfeld's life.

Twitter certainly remembers the head!

While Leto used a catsuit to commemorate Choupette, Doja Cat used prosthetics to look as feline as possible.

Interestingly, Choupette, the cat to whom Karl Lagerfeld left his vast fortune, was an invitee to the 2023 Met Gala but "chose" to skip the event, with a thank you message from its own Instagram account that read: "A million thanks to all of you my fans, animal lovers & Daddy's admirers. You have all shown the kindest enthusiasm and unconditional support; MERCI! Many people invited me to walk the red carpet of the Met Gala 2023 in tribute to Daddy, but we preferred to stay peacefully & cozy at home. We pay tribute to my Daddy every day since his parting, and we are very moved to see one more day dedicated to him. With love, forever, Choupette."

Of course, later, Leto looked stunning in his all-black outfit with a studded cape, but fans could not get over his cat costume, and some felt that he and Choupette even had the same eyes! Given that his fans are suitably kicked over his choice of furry costume, they left him all sorts of comments:

"Can I adopt this cat that was seen roaming freely around last night at the Met Gala?"

"He always understands the theme and eats."

"I like how the stylist said, "We need someone to be Karl's cat." And Jared said, "I also--minutely will." And then he was. "

Even Salma Hayek sent him several emojis, impressed with Leto's take on the Met Gala theme.

Here's more of Leto, the cat.
