Chance the Rapper's Dance Sparks Controversy
Chance the Rapper has been in the headlines lately due to fans speculating about his marriage with his wife, Kirsten Corley. However, a representative for the "No Problem" artist has addressed the rumors and set the record straight. They claimed that amid the rumors of infidelity, the couple is doing just fine. "Everyone has their moments, but they're all good," the rep told TMZ.
Rumors began to swirl about his potential marital issues when the "Coloring Book" rapper celebrated his 30th birthday in Jamaica during Carnival 2023 and was spotted dancing provocatively with model Mela Millz.
In the video, Chance, who was shirtless with only his #3 hat and a pair of tie-dye shorts, can be seen playfully slapping Millz, dressed in a traditional Carnival costume, on the butt several times as she danced on him.
Kirsten Corley Shares Cryptic Message
Although this type of dancing is common during Carnival in the Caribbean, some fans were concerned that Chance's actions were inappropriate, given that he is a married man and father of two.
Others defended the Rapper, arguing that his behavior was harmless and simply part of the festive atmosphere of Carnival. One fan tweeted, "This is not inappropriate unless he and his wife had a conversation & she didn't want him to attend. If you attend, then you may end up dancing & having fun. That's the point of the event."
However, Corley appeared to have concerns about the incident as she posted a passage from Maya Angelou's essay "Home," which discusses the challenges of maturity on her Instagram page days later.
The excerpt reads, "Most people don't grow up. It's too damn difficult. What happens is most people get older. That's the truth of it. They honor their credit cards, find parking spaces, and have the nerve to have children but don't grow up. Not really. They get older."
The passage concluded, "And you find out what it costs us to love and to lose, to dare and to fail. And maybe even more, to succeed." Corley captioned her cryptic post: "I hope we all choose to grow up one day."

In response to the recent controversy surrounding his Carnival dancing and his wife's cryptic Instagram post, Chance the Rapper appears to have made a statement. After keeping quiet, the "Holy" rapper took to social media to share a clip from Bill Burr's 2019 Netflix stand-up special "Paper Tiger." In the clip, Burr talks about the challenges of marriage and how he and his wife work through their issues.
"I love my wife to death. I love everything about being fu**ing married, but I'll tell you right now that we fight a lot. We do argue all the time," Burr said.
"If I've learned anything in five years of marriage, we're always working on me. My wife is this completed work under museum glass that is to be admired and studied," the comedian added.
Chance the Rapper And Kirsten Corley's Wedding
Chance and Corley legally tied the knot in 2018 and later celebrated with a star-studded wedding in Newport Beach, California, the following year. The couple exchanged their vows in front of 150 guests, including high-profile celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Dave Chappelle.
As the bride and groom walked down the aisle, a string quartet played in the background, as reported by E! News. The "No Brainer" hitmaker looked dapper in a white tuxedo and a black bow tie while his bride stunned in a strapless white gown. The altar and aisle were adorned with giant bouquets of white flowers, creating an exquisite atmosphere. The couple share two daughters, Kensli and Marli, who are now 7 and 3 years old.
